I am 25 years old,married. I was the patient of urticaria for about 7 years. i got medicines of homeopathic named urtica30, calcium phosphoricum and natrium chloritum for 6 months months and now i am fine but in last few days i got attack of herpes zoster for which i took allopathic medicines. during the treatment i slept with my wife she got infection in the va-gina after the intercourse but within two days she also get relief naturally without taking any medicine.she is preganent for the last two months. i want to ask is there any risk to the baby inside of the intercourse which i did when i was infected with herpes.

If the mother becomes infected with the herpes virus during the first or second trimester of your pregnancy, it is unlikely that the baby will be affected. This is due to the fact that the mother’s body produces antibodies to the HSV-2 virus, which are then passed on to your baby thereby offering her some protection. Women who were already infected with herpes prior to pregnancy will produce these antibodies during pregnancy as well. While your body will also pass on antibodies to your child if you are infected with the HSV-1 virus, these antibodies are not thought to offer as much protection from the herpes virus.
It is very rare that complications occur after herpes infection. It is important to note that very few women with herpes do experience problems. Only 0.01% or fewer will experience complications during their pregnancy as a result of their herpes infection. In most cases, this is when the infection was on the last months of pregnancy.
