This book on Fibonacci potencies is based on Dr. Joe Rozencwajg’s personal experience and practice. He shares his experience with the greater audience because he has a statistically valid number of cases, situations and problems and he feels that he can actually offer certainties instead of just hypotheses. The idea is that if a reader is convinced of Dr. Joe’s experience with Fibonacci potencies, he may include this potency in his own practice and roll the ball forward.

It is common knowledge that “potency” choice is a hot button issue amongst homeopaths of every stripe. Our work does not end with finding the right remedy, as we must also find the potency that is just right for our patients. Though we have a choice of X, C, K, LM and Q preparations, the author points out that these are purely linear potencies, and straight lines are rare, if at all present, in nature. Using simple, two-dimensional graphs, Joe elaborates on the linear nature of LM, Q, C, K and the French series potencies. He finds that these potencies do not have any logic, or scientific / physiological explanation. This lack of precision led Dr. Joe to search for a Law of Nature for potency preparation and selection. Just as we have a Law of Similar and Law of Gravity, and these natural laws are unchangeable, he was convinced that the Law for potency preparation and selection, when based on a natural law, will be unchangeable. In his quest, the he came across the book “Da Vinci Code” in which there is a description of a box that can only be opened using a secret combination from the Fibonacci series. That was literally the AHA moment for Dr. Joe Rozencwajg.

Dr. Joe found that the Fibonacci series of numbers was introduced to Europe by Leonardo Fibonacci, though the mathematicians from ancient India were well aware of the series and had written extensively about it as they explored the series 1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55 and so on, and the Golden Ratio that they encountered in the microcosm as well as macrocosm.

Since the Fibonacci series (0+1=1, 1+1=2, 2+1=3, 3+2 = 5, 5+3=8, 8+5=13 and so on) is encountered everywhere in Nature, Dr. Joe questioned, why not use it in homeopathic potency preparation and selection? If this series is ubiquitous, found in DNA, the nano-particle, spruce bud, broccoli, cauliflower, Echinacea, cactus, sunflower, cabbage, passion flower, shell of nautilus and even our inner ear, it is only natural that this series could be applied in homeopathy – a science that is after all based on Laws of Nature. Based on this idea, Dr. Joe assigned the number 0 to the crude medicinal substance, as in homeopathy we do not use crude material. Next, he assigned number 1 to mother tincture, which is in fact a 1:10 dilution. Going along in the fashion, he considered 2 = 2C, 3 = 3C, 5= 5C, 8=8C, 13=13C and set about preparing these potencies just as Hahnemann had instructed, by hand, and went all the way up to 144C and 233C.

Because such a progression of potencies is based on mathematical law, Dr. Joe postulated that he could achieve an exponential action of one dose after the other. It was natural for him to worry that Fibonacci potencies were in the realm of “low potencies” and may not be as deep acting as some of the high potencies, namely, 10M, 50M, CM, MM or higher LM / Q potencies. In the crucible of daily practice, his worries were put to rest as he discovered that the Fibonacci potencies were boosting each other, not by addition, but in a real exponential progression, by multiplication. For example, 3 = 3C the starter potency, 5C is 3 x 5 = 15 C equivalent. 8C is 15 x 8 = 120 C equivalent and in a similar fashion, 233C is 233 x 773546819200 = 180236413271600c or 180 MMMM equivalent. This is an amazingly powerful and high potency and these potencies gave the author deeper cures for his patients (he duly informed them about the experimental nature of his prescriptions) and he began including sarcodes and nosodes as well in this potency series.

Dr. Joe worked with 111 patients and prescribed over 120 remedies that were selected via repertorization and consultation with materia medica. Some patients showed mild aggravation but none of them proved the remedy. He found that when a remedy is needed and is given in the Fibonacci series, it works and does not graft the remedy picture on the patient. He also found that the Fibonacci potencies can unearth problems that must be treated by different means, for example, a structural / mechanical problem that surfaces after a course of Fibonacci potencies, cannot be treated with homeopathy. In his experience, it was common to see Fibonacci potencies bringing about a complete cure / treatment of what is treatable with homeopathic remedies. When wrong remedies were given, nothing happened.

The clinical findings based on the prescription of Fibonacci potencies led Dr. Joe to formulate the existence of “intricate layers”, where layers of pathology interpenetrate and are not presented as nice, concentric rings similar to onion layers. Joe was able to completely eliminate interwoven / intricate layers with Fibonacci potencies which can be administered in dry, semi – dry, liquid and wet doses.

In the rest of the book, Dr. Joe deals with issues of similar remedies and their results, speed and depth of action and constitutional treatment using Fibonacci potencies. He has also presented a self-proving of Silica using Fibonacci potencies.

This book concludes with an intriguing chapter “What did I learn from that undertaking?” Every exercise or experiment has to give a result in the end, otherwise why bother at all? Dr. Joe’s conclusion is that the chosen remedy must be the correct remedy and when this correct remedy is given in Fibonacci potency, it works well, works fast, works deep and is curative.

The book is filled with illustrative cases from Dr. Joe’s practice in which he has used these potencies. He is inviting the rest of us to try the method out in our own practice, so that we can, as a community of healers, come to a conclusion about the use of Fibonacci potencies. But before you decide to join the group or oppose it, it would be good to read this book and see where a curious mind can go.

  • I did similar experiments with Q-potencies a few years ago:
    Went from Q1 to Q2, to Q3, -Q5 -q8 -q13

I noticed in chronic cases, that the increase of more than one potency step at the time created homoeopathic aggravations in sensitive patients, similar to a C200 potency.

At the time I did not see any advantage of this method over Hahnemann’s Q-potency method of increasing the potency by one step each time, if the medicine is still indicated and a continuation is desired.

  • can anybody tell me where to buy dr.joe’s fibonacci potency homeopathic remedies in india please
