| The patient was seen for the first time in June
1995 for prostatic cancer with multiple bone metastases:
cervical, dorsal and lumbar vertebrae, ribs, iliac wing and left
hip region. He suffers with atrocious pains which do not respond
to steroid infiltrations. It was so painful that he wished his leg
to be cut off.
He received treatment for his prostate: five irradiation treatments
followed by (May 1995 ) hormone therapy. (Eulexine, Enanthone and
Moscontin). His PSA levels remain high. He also suffers with a coxarthrosis.
He receives a number of remedies which allows the Moscontin to be
stopped and the PSA levels to normalise. (Scorpio, Ceanothus, Carcinosin,
Staphysagria, Natrum ars, Calc sulf and Pulsatilla)
He undergoes a right hip replacement in January 2001. Several
months later starts to suffer from his left hip. (October 2001).
He is constipated and suffers with hemorrhoids and hypertension.
I have difficulty in determining his remedy because I cannot find
the characteristic traits of his personality. I am told he is ‘too
kind’ and very sensitive to injustice.
Then a theme of DIY and adjustment appears:
‘I am always working in my attic building things. I make
all the utensils necessary for my bathroom. I made a table and a
step for the grand children. I adore doing this.
“Things have to be made with precision, up to 1/10mm. If
something does not go as planned, I get cross and feel like trashing
it all.”
16/10/01
Dream: “I cannot start the car, there is no keyhole to put
the key in.”
Dream: “Somebody stole my electric wood plane, it is atrocious.”
“It is a nightmare and am glad to wake up”.
“I am a DIY person. I like things to be smooth and plane so
there is no rubbing”.
The key and the hole, Freudians would have seen something
sexual. Not in this case: he is a DIY man and having lost his wood
plane is a nightmare, it is a problem of adjustment.
I then understand why he is too kind: he likes to adjust things
and is sensitive to injustice: he does not like people not respecting
others.
Phytolacca XM
19/12/01
He feels really well on all levels. ‘Even my stools have
become regular. I really appreciate it.’
His blood pressure is normal for the first time in a long while.
The pain in his hip is reduced by 25%
19/02/02
Stools are perfect, does not suffer with his knee anymore. His
hip was better but the pain returns.
Phytolacca 10200
His hip improves again for 2 months and then returns. He has a
hip replacement in July '02 and since then all is well: PSA 0.5,
normal blood pressure.
He receives further doses of Phytolacca in December '03, November
'04, (PSA had risen to 3.17 and returned to normal after this dose),
March '05 (cough), September '06 (slipped disc). July '07 acute
pneumopathy, easily resolved.
April '08, he is still very well.
