Medically cellulite is not considered abnormal. It is a topographic skin change that is found commonly in post pubertal females. It describes pockets of fat that trapped and cause dimpling in the skin. This appears like orange peel. thighs and abdomen are most common areas where cellulite develops.

The thighs and abdomen are most common areas where cellulite develops. It is not related to obesity as it also occurs in lean women.

Causes of cellulite

The causes are not clear it could be because of

  • Alteration in connective tissue structure
  • Increase levels of catecholemines
  • Tight underclothes
