Homeopathy for Teeth Affections

Written by Dr. Manisha Bhatia

Toothache is usually the result of advanced tooth decay. The abscess that causes a toothache begins as a cavity or chip in the hard enamel that covers a tooth. Other risk factors include not having access to fluoride, either on the water or in items such as tooth paste and mouth wash.

One of the risks of developing tooth decay is poor hygiene. Not brushing or flossing properly or often enough can allow plaques to develop. Not taking a proper care can also allow early signs of decay to progress. Because the other component leading to cavities Is food, a dirt high in sugar and refined starch is a high risk factor for decay. This includes food such as candy, honey, sweetened snakes, and even juice. For tooth decay, how often these foods are eaten determines the risk of developing decay-that is, if a person eats these foods three separate times a day, he or she would have more risk than someone who eats them just once a day. Other risk factors include not having access to fluoride, either on the water or in items such as tooth paste and mouth wash.

Toothache

Toothache is usually the result of advanced tooth decay. The abscess that causes a toothache begins as a cavity or chip in the hard enamel that covers a tooth. Such openings allow bacteria to infect the center of the tooth, the pulp. As dead tissue, live and dead bacteria, and white blood cells accumulate as pus, the pulp swells. The swelling of the pulp against the remaining enamel causes pain. If the root of the tooth dies, the toothache may stop, but the infection remains active and continues to spread and destroy tissue. It may even spread in to the bones that support the tooth, causing the tooth to loosen and fall out.
