PULSATILLA

General Indications.

      The Pulsatilla patients are characterized by their mild, gentle, bashful, timid, yielding temperament, by their inclination to weep. They are full of cares about domestic affairs. Their mood is silent. Their face is alternately pale and red, the complexion yellow with sunken eyes. Tongue white or yellow-coated, the mouth dry, but the patient is thirstless. Bitter taste in the mouth. Aversion to fat food, craving for sour drinks, beer or refreshing things. Disorders of the digestive organs. Palpitation of the heart with anaemia and chlorosis. Nervous debility. Chilliness.

Better in the open air and when walking.

Worse in the evening, in a warm room; from having eaten fat meat, ice cream, pastry or warm food.

Menstruation retarded or delayed. The menstrual discharge is thick, viscous, black and coagulated or pale and watery, or changeable.

After menstruation milky, thick, white leucorrhoea without pain, accompanied by chilliness, great sadness.

Pulsatilla is the drug for women with a yielding gentle, good- natured, mischievous disposition, who easily laugh or weep, with phlegmatic temper, inclined to melancholy, lymphatic constitution, pale face, blue eyes, blonde hair, freckles, disposition to catarrh or leucorrhoea.

Special Indication.

      Amenorrhoea, dysmenorrhoea, leucorrhoea. Potencies 3x-200x.
