COMMON NAME:

      PERUVIAN BARK.

Symptoms

      Headache, aggravated by a draft of air, in the open air, and from the slightest contact, and relieved by hard pressure.

INTENSE THROBBING HEADACHE, AFTER, EXCESSIVE HAEMORRHAGE (Carbo vegetabilis, Ferrum) (Bt.).

Over-sensitiveness, low-spirited with aversion to all noise (Coffea, Natrum muriaticum, Nux- V., Sulphur).

Long lasting congestive headache (Belladonna, Lachesis, Natrum muriaticum, Sanguinaria, Verat-V.), with deafness and noises in the ears (Carbo vegetabilis, Lycopodium, Natrum muriaticum, Phosphorus, Sepia, Sulphur) (Br.).

DEBILITY FROM LOSS OF FLUIDS (AN EXCELLENT INDICATION IN DEBILITATING PERSPIRATION.

Heaviness of the head, with loss of sight, fainting and ringing in the ears (Pulsatilla, Sepia, Sulphur) (Hr.).

Unrefreshing sleep or constant sopor; worse after 3 A.M.; wakens early (A.).

AILMENTS FROM LOSS OF VITAL FLUIDS, ESPECIALLY HAEMORRHAGES, EXCESSIVE LACTATION, DIARRHOEA, OR SUPPURATIONS (Carbo vegetabilis, Ferrum, Phosphorus) (A.).

Headache, worse from sitting or lying; must stand or walk, after haemorrhage or sexual excesses. (A.).

Adolph Lippe
Adolph Lippe (born near Goerlitz, Prussia, 11 May 1812; died in Philadelphia, 23 January 1888) was a homeopathic physician who worked in the United States. Adolph got a legal education at Berlin. After completing his legal studies, Lippe became interested in homeopathy, and emigrated to the United States in 1837 to further his study. In 1838, he enrolled in the North American Academy of Homeopathy at Allentown, Pennsylvania, from where he graduated in 1841. He settled in Philadelphia, where from 1863 until 1868 he was professor of materia medica in the Homeopathic College of Pennsylvania. Besides some essays and treatises from the French, German, and Italian which became standards, Lippe was the author of:
