COMMON NAME:

      CARBONATE OF MAGNESIA.

Symptoms

      Useful for person, especially children, of irritable disposition and nervous temperament (Chamomilla, Nux vomica, Staphysagria) (A.).

Painless twitching, her and there.

In the evening, after sitting, restlessness in the limbs, which compels one to walk about.

Swelling of the glands (Belladonna, Calcarea, Graphites, Hepar, Iodium, Kali-I., Lycopodium, Mercurius).

Great sensation of fatigue whilst sitting.

The knees are painful when walking (Bryonia) (G.).

Oedema of the feet up to the calves (G.).

Sudden falling down with consciousness (Cuprum, Nux vomica, Sulphur).

Sad and disconsolate (G.).

Insupportable pains during repose; she must get up and walk about (G.).

Craves open air (Apis, Pulsatilla) (B.).

Sudden deafness (B.).

paroxysmal cough (Belladonna, Drosera). (B.).

Toothache of a bothersome nature often calls for exhibition of the remedy (Chamomilla, Coffea, Mercurius, Pulsatilla).

Labour-like pain, cutting colic, backache, weakness and chilliness during menses (A.).

It should be remembered in acid dyspepsia, with heartburn (Bl.).

The tongue is coated dirty yellow (G.).

Nightly tearing, digging and boring in the cheek bones; insupportable during rest, and driving from one place to another (C.).

Chilly in the evening; fever at night; sour, greasy perspiration (Br.).

Tickling cough, with salty, bloody expectoration (Br.).

Catamenia retarded (Cyclamen, Graphites, Natrum muriaticum, Pulsatilla, Sep).

Before the catamenia there is toothache (Am-C., Ant-C., Bar-C., Natrum muriaticum, Phosphorus, Pulsatilla, Sulphur, Thuja).

MENSES BLACK AND FLOW AT NIGHT ONLY (D.).

Has a sore throat during every menstruation (G.).

Menses dark, acrid and thick; washed out with great difficulty (G.).

Menses flow only in the absence of pain and at night (G.).

Too frequent and too profuse menstruation (Dn.).

Menses too late, and too scanty (G.).

Mucous leucorrhoea (Hydrastis) (G.).

Menses flow when lying, cease when walking (N.).

AGGRAVATION:

      In the evening; at night; while standing; during rest; before and during menses; every third week; from milk; from warmth of bed; from change of temperature; and during pregnancy.

AMELIORATION :

      After stool; in warm air; and from walking in the open air.

Adolph Lippe
Adolph Lippe (born near Goerlitz, Prussia, 11 May 1812; died in Philadelphia, 23 January 1888) was a homeopathic physician who worked in the United States. Adolph got a legal education at Berlin. After completing his legal studies, Lippe became interested in homeopathy, and emigrated to the United States in 1837 to further his study. In 1838, he enrolled in the North American Academy of Homeopathy at Allentown, Pennsylvania, from where he graduated in 1841. He settled in Philadelphia, where from 1863 until 1868 he was professor of materia medica in the Homeopathic College of Pennsylvania. Besides some essays and treatises from the French, German, and Italian which became standards, Lippe was the author of:
