A Good Sign in the New Year

An introduction to 2013’s first issue!

Last month’s editorial mentioned that the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) was considering a resolution that would have condemned homeopathy as being ineffective. At their recent executive board meeting the AVMA voted against that resolution…for the moment. Apparently a number of AVMA members threatened not to renew their membership if the resolution passed. Other veterinarians declared that they would not join AVMA if the resolution were adopted. The final decision will be made in the Spring, and we don’t know how it will turn out, but this shows that veterinarians who either practice homeopathy or appreciate its value, were willing to make their voices heard. I take this as a positive sign as we go into the New Year.

Hpathy.com and Homeopathy for Everyone are collectively visited by half a million readers every month. Your suggestions, cases, articles and passion for homeopathy have helped grow this international community. We stand together, sharing ideas, learning from and helping each other.

IN THIS ISSUE :

This month we have a presentation from the highly respected New England School of Homeopathy (NESH). We interview the founders, Drs. Paul Herscu and Amy Rothenberg, who are the wonderful homeopathy team that direct NESH. They answer many questions with a refreshing clarity, and discuss their unique approach called Cycles and Segments.

Vatsala Sperling interviews homeopath Karen Allen about her work in Haiti with Homeopaths Without Borders. There are two surprising cases of pituitary tumor from Dr. Doina Pavlovschi and other well reasoned cases from Dr. Reshma Nizam, Rachel Levine, Ann Sorrell, Dr. Amit Karkare, Jeanie Notti-Fullerton, and Dr. Navnit Vachhani. Joan Goddard offers a fine case of chronic gastro enteritis in a dog.

There is also a new Tips and Secrets column.

As always look for Elaine’s wonderful acute Quiz and Dr. Amarsinha Nikam’s chronic quiz. V.D. Kaviraj as the Plant Doctor, answers questions about houseplants and crops (send in your questions!). You’ll find a new homeopathy Crossword Puzzle and a new Cartoon.
