Homeopathy and Cardiology

EDITORIAL – May 2016

Since this issue of the journal focuses on homeopathy and cardiology, I’ll begin with a personal story. Some years ago, after foolishly taking an allopathic drug, I developed a dangerous cardiac arrhythmia. First there was a stress test, which confirmed the arrhythmia and then a CAT scan which determined the problem was purely electrical – a conduction defect –and then offers of more drugs, which I refused. The problem continued for over two months, leading to an overnight hospitalization to await a cardiac catheterization.  At the last moment, I changed my mind and got myself discharged from the hospital. I called a homeopath friend who took my case and prescribed Dig 200. Within a few days the arrhythmia stopped, and it never returned. In the years since, I’ve played a couple hundred hours of tennis, shoveled snow on the coldest days and jogged many miles.

My story is not unique. For those people around the world who have access to homeopathy, it is repeated every day. What surgery accomplishes in some cardiac cases is truly remarkable, but in the medical treatment of heart disease, homeopathy is light years ahead. It has the ability to cure, has no side effects and is ridiculously cheap. These successes in homeopathic cardiology are nothing new, and have been going on for 160 years.  In preparing this month’s journal I read contemporary cases as well as those from the 19th and early 20th centuries. There were brilliant cures back then, in spite of not having the diagnostic advantages of echocardiograms and CAT scans. However, those homeopaths did have extraordinarily refined skills with the stethoscope. I was amazed at the details they could glean or indirectly surmise, with a stethoscope and a keen mind.

I think you’ll find this month’s collection of articles and cases both interesting and educational. Relax and enjoy the writings of homeopaths from the past and present.
