One of the Cases That Moved Me

Editorial – April 2017

We have some excellent cases this month, all worthy of praise. I enjoy all manner of cases, the simple and the complex. I particularly appreciate those that didn’t move in a linear fashion, where the homeopath shares his or her struggle, doubts and mistakes.

Now and then I find a case which especially uplifts me. It could be a healing, of someone “incurable”, or one that required very special skills. Sometimes I’m stirred by the sheer determination of a homeopath in restoring a patient to health. One of our cases this month met all those criteria, and yet was managed by a woman who started out as an amateur.

Homeopath Saideh Kerscher-Nasirbeygi was born in Iran and now lives and works in Germany. Two years after her son Armin was born, he was diagnosed with Kanner Syndrome (autism) and withdrew into that dark solitary world. At that time, she was a layperson and a loving mother with no medical training.  With her intense determination to rescue him, she started studying nutrition, orthomolecular medicine and eventually homeopathy.  She learned and experimented, failed and tried again and again. While still a novice in all these fields, she used her intellect, observations, intuition and passion to find answers, solve mysteries and eventually, bring her son back into the light. Read her full case in this issue, and be sure to read the other insightful and beautifully worked cases.

In this issue:

Interview:  Esteemed Homeopath Misha Norland, founder of The School of Homeopathy, UK, is interviewed by Vatsala and Ehud Sperling. Misha helped start The Society of Homeopaths and was head of Homeopathic Research at the first UK homeopathic college.

Western College was founded in 2009, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, by Homeopath Linda Miller and Naturopath Dr. Tevna Tayler.  Students participate in live and video cases for all four years.
