Death by Modern Medicine Review

I was told this book was worth buying and reading. And now after reading this review, it confirms my decision to purchase this book. This book is a “must buy and read book” for anyone studying or practicng in Altertive medicine Field be it Homeopathy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Herbalism, etc. We study and see so many patients who have been scarred and victimized by the “Allopathic, Modern Medicine” profession. This book helps to give us renewed strength, knowledge and deterimination to show and validate why we are here to heal and teach others to know about their health and want is healthy to put in the body. Modern medicine plays the human body today like “Russian roulette” and/or guinea-pigs, with assistance from the Pharmaceutical Companies, as “test subjects” to conduct and test multiply “their” theories, and increase their profit margins at a human cost.

There are some very fundamental issues in this editorial. I’ve posted a response to it on my own site. It can be found at http://www.smeddum.net/content/blog.htm#apr2206

Hi Team
I just wanted to write to say how much I enjoyed David Little’s article on Hahneman’s advanced methods, and how much I am looking forward to the second part. I think it is very important that we as homeopaths sometimes take time to look back at where we came from, and what was learned on the journey, before we go leaping off into new provings, new methods or philosphies on dosage & prescribing, however exciting that may be.

I have to confess that it was only by having an accident leading to a fractured skull, concussion & whiplash that awarded me the luxury of some spare time to read this month’s articles fully! This realisation helps me to acknowledge the perfection in every moment, that we are often reminded of but rarely appreciate! A chance to look back at my own journey, and steady my step for the onward path, perhaps?

Keep up the good work – your ezine is suggested reading on the degree course I teach in the UK, and often provides little golden nuggets I can’t wait to share.

With love & light

I am an allopathic medical doctor. Have been reading about Homeopathy which I think would have a great role in Quality of Life e.g. April 2006: Peaceful Death, Meaning of Life and For a Sp. Friend.

I understand it has a pretty good record of alleviation of IBS . A friend has just started Lycopodium 200 for IBS. Is there any toxicity or caution associated with this medicine? I could not find it.

Good Website and Journal outlay. Keep up the good work.

Thank you once again for a very interesting and informative edition of your e-zine. I really enjoy all the different articles – in particular this month, the use of intercurrent remedies in chronic cases was very interesting.

Keep up the good work!

the article on graves disease was very interesting- a good example of how homoeopathy works in psychological symptoms and the mind. susanss

————————————-

Re Using Acute Intercurrent or Intermediate Remedies in Chronic Diseases

This was a reassuring eye-opener.
Undoubtedly it removes much of the anxiety present when a chronic remedy applies but an acute condition occurs.

I also believe wholeheartedly in Vitamin C, zinc tablets and Ferrum Phos and Calcarea Phos in acute conditions generally, unless there is some condition against using it.

No matter what, first comes the diet(which includes vitamins lacking or necessary at the moment), then the medicine.

Many a time the physician persists patiently with medicine after homeopathic medicine of different strengths, then a dose of vitamin C and voila! an amazing and quick recovery.

Hi,

I really enjoy the Homeopathy for Everyone newsletter. I am (admittedly) a casual student of Homeopathy, and find some of the articles pretty understandable, particularly Elaine Lewis’ little “guess the remedy” articles. Recently, I got a lot out of Dr. Luc De Schepper’s discussion of Grave’s Disease. He explained the methodology in a very understandable way, though there were a few medical terms I didn’t know. I would like to see more veterinary homeopathy articles. thanks!

————————————-

Dr. Luc on Graves Disease
This fascinated me. My son was diagnosed with Graves when he was 18 (ten years ago) and had the radioactive iodine treatment to kill the thyroid and has to be on allopathic meds for the rest of his life. I only wish I had even HEARD of homeopathy back then.

Coincidentally, my own homeopath studies with Dr. Luc and is a personal friend. When I told her about my son, she nearly cried, for she knew Dr. Luc could have cured him.

Hi,

If you don’t send us your feedback at [email protected], we won’t send you the next issue of this journal!

What a subtle way of getting feedback! Sheer genius! Seriously, your newsletter is wonderful – keep them coming. There are people out there reading it – I know, because I’m one of them!

Best wishes,
Barbara Lowry

————————————-

I have been away quite a bit recently so have not had the opportunity to read that I would like. In this issue I most liked the following: A Peaceful Death, The Meaning of Life, Using Acute Intercurrent or Intermediate Remedies in Chronic Diseases, and the Town of Allopath was “interesting.” I most always enjoy any interviews and the book reviews as well,

THank you

RE: CAM Article
Dear Bhatia,

It’s amazing how our Homeopathy and other natural therapies are showing such wonderful results. And I am happy that we are healing people with our science.

But it’s catastrophic to know how the government is trying to get an end to this by not publishing these important trial results. I think there should be some class action law suit on these people for not giving the real info to people. Esp. because this is about maintaining there health. All people are entitled to have the freedom to choose there medicinal pathy.

My heart dampens when I read such things. I will for sure email this article to my group of Homeopaths … classmates, professors, colleagues in US and India.

Sincerely,
Dr Reshma Joshi.

Have really enjoyed the latest – please keep sending.

Hi:
< Well, you will got a lot of answers and not time to read them 🙂
You’ve got the most informative and valuable magazine on homeopathy that I’ve read.

Perhaps you could add a section: World Web Hom, whit notices of the world. I could help with Notices from México; and people from other countrys could help to.

Kindly regards

Dear Dr. Manish Bhatia:
I feel deep admiracion by its work, I have sent him several of my works, but I believe that you have not published them by the difficulty of the language, since single I write in Spanish.
I have hestado with a friend his Mr.. Nishant Jain aqui in Argentina, and it was really a pleasure that you were friends.
I will try to send my works to him in algun ingles approximated, but I leave the adjustment him you.

Hpathy,

It’s my first edition. Your site is a great support for independent study. I had discovered David Little’s site about six month’s ago and devoured it. Of the remaining my favorite article was Meaning of Life – it rings so true to my experience with the remedies – it’s like doing Lent – taking a deep look inside. But all of your cases are invaluable to novices like me, and I am making a collection of them for study. Thank you so much – and please keep producing them and sending them to me.

Nancy Haney

————————————-

Hello,

I have been receiving the Hpathy journal for about 6 months and enjoy them enormously, especially Elaine Lewis and Kelly Young’s fun-but -serious approach to homeopathic care and it’s sometimes exhausting insistence on minute details. I have been using homeopathy for the health care of my family since my oldest child (now 9) was in utero, sometimes with limited success until I consulted with a professional. I have definitely found that, like most things worth while, homeopathy shows you that the more you know, the more you have to learn!

Are you serious in the threat to terminate reception on the newsletter without feedback? That seems harsh, but here you are.
Thank you,
Samantha

keep up the good work. love the articles.

Dear Dr. Luc De Schepper,

Thank you for your careful observation of today’s Homeopathy. I hope your input will open the eyes of many Homeopaths. Like you said, “we must look at our soul with a microscope” before we can help others. I’m convinced, that if we carefully follow the teachings of the Organon, Homeopathy will be the most successful medicine of our days.

Best wishes,

Dr. Olga Klein

————————————-

I especially like the articles of Luc de Schepper and David Little! I also enjoy the other articles. I am a starting homeopath form the Netherlands and this is a good way to learn and share experiences with homeopaths all over the world!

Thank you for all your efforts!

————————————-

Very estimable Dr. B.,

Thank you very much for sending me this issue and asking for my opinion.

The participation of Luc De Schepper and David Little add an extra value to it. Most interesting was Dr. Luc De Schepper’s article on ‘Using Acute Intercurrent or Intermediate Remedies in Chronic Diseases’.

Last but not least, what I really enjoyed were Elaine Lewis’ articles, especially: ‘Revisiting: “Kelly’s Daughter, “Unstoppable”, Is Unbelievable!” – in which the author combines so gracefully her talented narration of the cured case with the so important materia medica essence of the remedy.

In my humble opinion, the ‘Find the right medicine ..and win exciting prizes!’ business seems unnecessary, but maybe there are others who enjoy or need this kind of stimuli… 😉

Best regards,

Maly

hello sir

Kelly’s Daughter Article

yes. i found the closing comments of this article most (really very, very) helpful. the banter bores me stiff….but i’m guessing many people need it to be “entertained.” The ruta notes versus the rhus tox explanation was extremely helpful. as you can tell, i’m a newbie.

thank you.

hpathy.com is the best site on homoeopathy i have ever visited till date. its so informative that i suggest visiting it at least once to every homoeopath i meet.

this issue was also informative n as a homoeopath i learnt a lot from dr. lucde shepper’s articles.

i would highly appreciate if u continue my subsription on next issues as well.

Achieving the Similium by Luc De
I truly appreciate Hpathy having Luc as their guest. First, Brillance recognizes Brillance.
Thank you Hpathy for caring about homeopathy so much that you have such a wonderful newsletter to send to us.
What i liked about this article:
Luc’s favorite book out of all that he has written and why. He chooses this book because he feels it will be a favorite of all homeopaths…what to do on the 2nd and subsequesnt visits.
I got this out of reading this articel: We do not have to wait for allopaths to destroy homeopathy. Pseudo-homeopaths do the work much better.
I am happy to be aware that many homeopaths are hung up on the 4th Ed. of the Organon. Also that some blame can be attributed to Kent who should have known the 5th edition. Instead, it seems he only used high potencies. I know many homeopaths are stuck on giving remedies instead of realizing the value of water solutions. It was amazing how perceptive Luc is in realizing that homeopaths are making up their own rules with the water solutions, ie, take a sip of this solution every day until gone and then make an appointment to see me, ie, just like the allopaths
I liked that:
Every homeopath should learn meaning of the numerous delusions we have in our repertory.
It is not that easy to interpret dreams Interpreting the mental/emotional is not that easy.
Having repeated all of the above that Luc speculated on, I especially was interested to see that however, we go about our approaches to reach the similium, we should come to the same remedy.
I want to get the 5h ed. of Organon now to read about the 6C split method for chronicand the 200C or 1M split method for acute problems I enjoyed Luc sharing his eye problem and what he did about it….I surely do wish that he had shared the remedy, but, of course that was his individual case. I liked what he shared ….Key to Health

Find passion in life Finding proper mate…someone I will learn from and that I am able to teach that someone as well.

I ADORE YOUR NEWSLETTER…AND APPRECIATE ALL OF YOU WHO CARE ABOUT US. I AM A LAY HOMEOPATH AND LOVE IT. I LEARN ALL THAT I CAN. IF THINGS WERE NOT AS THEY ARE, I WOULD WANT A BUSINESS,BUT, I BELIEVE THERE ARE RESTRICTIONS IN THIS COUNTRY. THERE ARE NO HOMEOPATHIC SCHOOLS NEAR ME. I SELF STUDY AND ENJOY YOUR NEWSLETTERS SO MUCH.
I thank you so much.

ARTICLE: LUC DESCHEPPER

THE INTERVIEW MADE ME THINK SERIOUSLY ABOUT STARTING A HOMEOPATHY WITHOUT BORDERS ORG. AND WORKING ON GETTING SUPPORT FOR SAME TO GET RECOGNITION FOR THE PRACTICE AND RAISE AWARENESS.

THE COMMENTS ABOUT THE ORGANON STIRRED MY INTEREST AND DESIRE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT ITS USEFULNESS AND OPEN MY MIND TO EXPANDED TREATMENTS.

Lucia

————————————-

Dear editor,

The April issue is commendable for involving and highlighting eminent and succesful Homeopath Dr.Luc De Schepper. The interview by Dr. Manish Bhatia is interesting and brings out the challenges which homeopathy faces. To be accomodative of other’pathies’like Dr.Schepper reflects the true scientific spirit which unfortunately allopathy lacks. The write-up ‘The Town of Allopath’by Mike Adams is entertaining and an excellent satire on the vicious circle of Allopathy in which the society finds itself trapped. I intend to be responsive in future and await the next issue eagerly.

Harish Nagpal

Comment on Dr. Luc

I have five years of studying homeopathy and a library of about fifty books. You couldn’t pry Dr. Luc’s Hahnemann Revisited from me. It made things clear, that were never clear before.

I don’t prescribe remedies. I make the local community aware that homeopathy is a possibility, one that few in the USA know about. We need to bring the patient to the homeopath before he/she can cure.

Keep up the good work Dr. Luc.

I refer my students to articles on the Mall which are great references. Thank you for providing the forum.

i read the article by dr.schepper. this case, i, showed to a allopathic doctor, with whom i am undergooing a course. he did not believe that our medicines could be more effective than their medicines. i was happy to tell him about our medicines, their actions, our basic principles… he was really impressed.. thanks for the article, he now regularly comes to my clinic to take medicines for himself and his family…

Dear Team,

Receiving your journal is of greatest value and importance for me and provides me with best quality “food for the soul”, very specially considering that I live quite isolated in Arusha, Tanzania.

I am very grateful for having this special opportunity but was not aware that I was supposed to send you personal feedback to be able to get the fortcoming issues. Thanks for letting me know !

Getting to know more about Dr. Luc and all his knowlege has been one of these moving encounters and riches me deeply !

I can only hope I’ll have further on the privilege to stay along, despite being rather an attentive listener – isn’t listening and contemplating a very positive first step ?

Best thanks and best wishes ! Rosa M. Stahl
