How to interpret ”Tension” specifically for today’s definition-wise as everyone talks of tension from so many things.
Understanding and studying details of Rubrics and hidden meanings of especially mind rubrics through a mutual understanding is a primary objective of this group.
Every one has individual perception of each rubric, clinical varification of many less used rubrics needs to be shared by contemporary homoeopaths.
This group will be a “Globule” and a link between various impressions of rubric.
I hope “Understanding Rubrics” will be liked and will have vitality with active sharing from homoeopathic friends.
How to interpret ”Tension” specifically for today’s definition-wise as everyone talks of tension from so many things.
Help differentiate:
Objective,reasonable and Exclusive,too.
Thank you for your replies Dr. Bahtia and drofart for below reply but my next question is, can we take this rubric to my previous question for a patient as to her feeling of blood flowing from temples to lower side of the face?
As much as i Know blood flows inside & water drop on skin. If the patient is saying about specific blood flowing then he/she refers to sensation of flowing blood inside or below skin. Theoretically it is wrong but nothing is impossible in homeopathy.
Right you are Mrinal, Thank you for your reply, I thought it may be of use but no, as there is no feeling of blood in this drop version so it shouldn’t be taken.
I want to know the meaning of the following repertory rubric;
”Trickling, sensation like drops”
WAITING FOR A GOOD POST…..
How to differentiate between:
[Mind]Boaster, braggart.
&
[Mind]Importance, feels his, pompous.
A person who is pompous, FEELS that he/she is special/grand and makes others feel that way too. A person who is pompous, will usually be over-confident about himself and need not talk much. He doesn’t need to prove to anyone that he is special. He just knows that he is.
A braggart talks a lot about his achievements and possessions to make others…[Read more]
I would like to ask a question right at start; a patient had low BP and fell down due to it and she felt as blood is flowing from her temples through either sides of face to lower side, say chin or cheeks. How can we interpret it in the language of Repertory?
First of all, if its an objective symptom due to injury…… please give first aid and proper bandage….than treat accordingly for his low BP etc…….LOL….
AND if its a feeling or sensation of (subjective symptom)…….
H. A. Roberts {Sensation as if} [Head] Blood, Were flowing to head….. Uran nit (1 mark) is a only remedy. But here the…[Read more]
Blood, all streamed from head into body :- Elaps.
Check it out, also see Floric. acid.
Actually this was a sensation at that time of nearly collapse, was not due to any injury. Afterwards she says I can imagine how I felt blood was flowing, she took her hand to head and dragged slowly downwards and she told this as it was literally flowing downwards but actually not. Her BP was about 70/30 at that time. She was given salty water to…[Read more]
Then you should look forward to ELAPS CORALLINUS as it has that specific symptom & also ”Vertigo with tendency to fall forward”.
(I am yet to see such rubric) The rubric i have written in my first post is a sensation and i think, most similar to condition.
Thanks Dr. I’ll look into it.
Elaps didn’t work Dr. I think we are unable to interprete the sensation in repertory language properly.
Dear Bhatia Sir, would you help?
I am not sure but in 4 days. Ok there are some more such less related rubrics .
Blood, pressed into face :- Equis.
Blood, were rushing to right side of jaw :- Fl-ac.
Rushing to right side of jaw, blood were :- Fl-ac.
Fluid were accumulating in jaw :- Daph.
Many thanks again for your kind concern and further rubric suggestions. Will consult MM for details and complete picture.
Just my own method & a suggestion :
I never change the remedy after 4-5 days atleast 10-15 days in such cases.
What u think ?
I think if we suggest a remedy for a patient then the patient should feel some betterment just within few hrs. Four days are much more than that.
…. I don’t think you are suggesting to give remedy for 10-15 days.
Feeling better depends upon the chronicity of the problem, I think as a disease has incubation period, medicines also have that property.
No No i am not suggesting overdose.
Happy to jion a group where I can ask about what we normally understand and interprete wrongly. I hope I’ll be guided by my learned seniors like Sir Manish Bhatia and others.
What would be the difference between the rubrics ABSORBED & ABSENTMINDED?
Dear friends,

This is a real case with the language in patients version: female-18+.Slim
complaints start after an attack of malaria 6 months ago.
Please suggest me in rubric hunting and pointed remedies.

delusion betrayed she is, pessimist, confidence want of self confidence, reproaches self, brooding, company desire for.
i feel these are all expressions of patient we need to understand the cause. i mean why she has gone in this state? little detail history needs to be taken
this symptoms started after the attack of malaria. A loving child of both parents. No insults from either.
can i get some probable remedies from your expertise
Nat. Mur. & Nat. Carb. I ll prfer Nat. Carb. first.
Lyco is another remedy that you can think abt but the thermal of both Natrum and Lyco does not match your patient, i.e if the thermal is marked in your patient.
It needs to be ascertained that what she is saying about betrayal is a ’delusion’ or ’truth’ about her life. Was that Malaria the only event or were there actualy other changes in relationships at the same time?
Dear Sir,
Nice u have come up to the help. The betrayal is not a delusion, happened so that among in her group of friends, she did things against the will of her friend circle and later they(her friends) insulted her and then she tells whom to believe, she feels betrayed.(can Ignatia come to the picture)
If betrayal is not a delusion but something that happened to her in reality, then we will not take the delusion rubric. Rather the ‘reaction’ to the situation becomes more important now.
What is the reaction? Is it grief? Is it resentment? Is it frustration? Is it jealousy? guilt? Which one is predominant? Cross that with the physicals…[Read more]
Thanks for these explanations Ruchi. It was not about using a single rubric for prescription but to understand the differentiation among remedies covering a particular rubric.
It means that there is no equivalent terminology of ”Tension” in repertory. Examples 1. I’m in tension, 2. Tension is bothering me and I’m loosing my health due to these tensions. 3. My teenager returns home full of tensions. 4. I cannot sleep due to tension.
Please solve if you know.
