Understanding Rubrics

Public Group  |  active 6 days, 5 hours ago ago

Understanding and studying details of Rubrics and hidden meanings of especially mind rubrics through a mutual understanding is a primary objective of this group.
Every one has individual perception of each rubric, clinical varification of many less used rubrics needs to be shared by contemporary homoeopaths.
This group will be a “Globule” and a link between various impressions of rubric.
I hope “Understanding Rubrics” will be liked and will have vitality with active sharing from homoeopathic friends.

How to interpret ”Tension” specifically for today’s definition-wise as everyone talks of tension from so many things.

    • Profile picture of mubarak
mubarak 4 days, 5 hours ago

It means that there is no equivalent terminology of ”Tension” in repertory. Examples 1. I’m in tension, 2. Tension is bothering me and I’m loosing my health due to these tensions. 3. My teenager returns home full of tensions. 4. I cannot sleep due to tension.

      Please solve if you know.

Thank you for your replies Dr. Bahtia and drofart for below reply but my next question is, can we take this rubric to my previous question for a patient as to her feeling of blood flowing from temples to lower side of the face?

    • Profile picture of Mrinal Mohapatra
Mrinal Mohapatra 2 weeks, 6 days ago

As much as i Know blood flows inside & water drop on skin. If the patient is saying about specific blood flowing then he/she refers to sensation of flowing blood inside or below skin. Theoretically it is wrong but nothing is impossible in homeopathy.

      • Profile picture of mubarak
mubarak 2 weeks, 5 days ago

Right you are Mrinal, Thank you for your reply, I thought it may be of use but no, as there is no feeling of blood in this drop version so it shouldn’t be taken.

Trickling : run or flow slowly, as in drops or in an unsteady stream.

    [Mind]Boaster, braggart.
    &
    [Mind]Importance, feels his, pompous.

    • Profile picture of Manish Bhatia
      Manish Bhatia 4 weeks ago

A person who is pompous, FEELS that he/she is special/grand and makes others feel that way too. A person who is pompous, will usually be over-confident about himself and need not talk much. He doesn’t need to prove to anyone that he is special. He just knows that he is.

A braggart talks a lot about his achievements and possessions to make others…[Read more]

I would like to ask a question right at start; a patient had low BP and fell down due to it and she felt as blood is flowing from her temples through either sides of face to lower side, say chin or cheeks. How can we interpret it in the language of Repertory?

    • Profile picture of Gadekar Homoeopathic Clinic
Gadekar Homoeopathic Clinic 1 month ago

First of all, if its an objective symptom due to injury…… please give first aid and proper bandage….than treat accordingly for his low BP etc…….LOL….
AND if its a feeling or sensation of (subjective symptom)…….

Actually this was a sensation at that time of nearly collapse, was not due to any injury. Afterwards she says I can imagine how I felt blood was flowing, she took her hand to head and dragged slowly downwards and she told this as it was literally flowing downwards but actually not. Her BP was about 70/30 at that time. She was given salty water to…[Read more]

(I am yet to see such rubric) The rubric i have written in my first post is a sensation and i think, most similar to condition.

Elaps didn’t work Dr. I think we are unable to interprete the sensation in repertory language properly.
Dear Bhatia Sir, would you help?

                • Profile picture of Mrinal Mohapatra

I am not sure but in 4 days. Ok there are some more such less related rubrics .

Blood, pressed into face :- Equis.
Blood, were rushing to right side of jaw :- Fl-ac.
Rushing to right side of jaw, blood were :- Fl-ac.

Just my own method & a suggestion :
I never change the remedy after 4-5 days atleast 10-15 days in such cases.
                    What u think ?

                    • Profile picture of mubarak
mubarak 3 weeks, 5 days ago

I think if we suggest a remedy for a patient then the patient should feel some betterment just within few hrs. Four days are much more than that.
…. I don’t think you are suggesting to give remedy for 10-15 days.

                    • Profile picture of Mrinal Mohapatra
Mrinal Mohapatra 3 weeks, 4 days ago

Feeling better depends upon the chronicity of the problem, I think as a disease has incubation period, medicines also have that property.

No No i am not suggesting overdose.

What would be the difference between the rubrics ABSORBED & ABSENTMINDED?

    • Profile picture of Manish Bhatia

Absorbed would be ’Deep in Thought’, ’intensely engaged’, ’engrossed’, ’concentration’

Absentminded would be ’inattentive’ and ’forgetful’

It needs to be ascertained that what she is saying about betrayal is a ’delusion’ or ’truth’ about her life. Was that Malaria the only event or were there actualy other changes in relationships at the same time?
