Save Hahnemann’s Torgau House

Written by Dr. Manish Bhatia

Please act now to save Hahnemann’s House.

SAVE-HOUSE2

Dear Homeopathic Friends,

When we sent you an appeal in December to commit a small annual donation to save Hahnemann’s house in Torgau, thousands of homeopaths came forward in support. We were overwhelmed and thought that we have done the needful to keep the house for the homeopathic community. However, some forces in Torgau, using their political weight want to snatch away our beloved Hahnemann’s house from us and install their own non-homeopathic association there. The greed to have a fine ready-made building, which has been restored from its dilapidated state by the efforts of homeopaths, is making these forces resort to all kinds of tactics, ignoring the historical significance of this building.

The city council of Torgau will vote on 3rd February 2016, whether to give the house to these outsiders who have nothing to do with homeopathy or to continue with the homeopathic organization committed to maintain and develop the house further, International Hahnemann Center Torgau e. V. We need your support to ensure that the Hahnemann House remains with our homeopathic organization.

WE NEED TO ACT NOW!

We seek your support in our effort to save Hahnemann’s house. Please copy the text after the horizontal line below, add your name after “Hochachtungsvoll”,  and email it to the following email id’s:

Hochachtungsvoll,

To whom it may concern,

Hahnemann’s House in Torgau is the place where Dr. Hahnemann wrote the first book on homeopathy, Organon of Rational Medicine, and it is the birth place for homeopathic medicine. It has immense historical value for nearly half a million followers of homeopathy globally. I want to express my happiness that in Hahnemann’s House in Torgau, we have an exhibition worth the cradle of homeopathy. Travelling there is like a pilgrimage for us homeopaths. I will be pleased to give a financial contribution to bear the running costs of this building.

I sincerely hope that the city council in Torgau will vote for homeopathy in the house of Dr. Hahnemann and that the house will not be used for any other purpose.

I am with the International Hahnemann Center Torgau e. V. and their non-profit commitment for our community. They should be given charge for the house because their hard work not only helped in the reconstruction of the house and its further improvement, it gives us access to the origin of homeopathy not only by the building but also by a growing number of unique historic elements of Dr. Hahnemann’s work in the museum! I highly appreciate the mutual exchange of information and professional expertise worth the building.

Sincerely yours,

  • Do you know the PhD Mr Kentmann the famous doctor of Torgau and predecessor of Hahnemann?
What do you know anyway? You know nothing, instead you plug the e-mail-accaunts of the Municipality of Torgau. Stop this nonsens. We are not interested in!

    • Do you know at all the famous PhD Kentmann the predecessor of Hahnemann and the real city doctor of Torgau. What do you know about all of the history. You probably do not know anything, instead you plug the e-mail accounts of city administration of Torgau. Stop this nonsense. We are not interested in!

      • Redmann you are trying to hijack a building that is important for homeopathy and that homeopaths have restored with their own efforts. What have you done for this building till now? Where were you when it was in dilapidated state and needed millions to restore? Who are you to claim it now? You are trying to get your own fine arts association installed there using politics. YOU stop this nonsense. Homeopaths will not get bogged down by your efforts. You cannot silence the voice of millions of homeopaths. We will let the world know about your commercial interests in the building and your inability to pay its maintenance from day one.
