I don't believe I can see outside of the state I am in - my homoeopath can see it fairly easily, especially when it changes. She also doesnt change my remedies very often, which I might be tempted to do left to my own devices.

Well, I have voted for the Taking Assistance option, however in acutes, most of the time, I self-prescribe. Only if the illness does not respond for a few days, would I take assistance.

I do not have a homoeopath for a chronic state, however, if there was something serious enough warranting treatment, I would entrust my 'case' to a homoeopath I trust.

That I chose the first option has to do with my history. Having started with conventional medical education, my doubts against homeopathy were strong.

During a phase, which we call burn out syndrome, and when I had just started reading about homeopathy, I just tried homeopathy out of curiosity:
With synthesis and a compact MM I worked through my own 'case' (honestly, I was not at all serious with it), found a remedy which came out quite obviously, self-prescribed and had an amazing reaction through the night as if my being has been waiting for the remedy for ages.
I was in shock, it shattered my picture of the medical universum.

Well, I followed my case up for a fewmonths and for a good number of years now, I have only to do with minor acutes.  There is no chronic problem.

On the other hand, if something more serious will occur, then I only will trust a colleague practicing homeopathy on sound principles. As a patient, one should relax and trust the method and the homeopath. I'd say it is no good to loose energy by continuously observing oneself for changes in symptoms or remedy action.
My vote is no definite decision.

I did try other homeopaths for some of my chronic problems but found out that it is better to self prescribe.Smile

I do take the advice of other homeopaths some times but the final choice is always mine. If I don't get convinced that the remedy is right for me, I won't use it but stick to my instincts.

Hi,
I do indulge in self prescription for minor problems. But like to discuss and seek opinion on bigger issues.
I realise that one's intellectual ego or pride can blind your perception. This used to be my problem once.

For simple acutes I use myself.  When there is advanced pathology for which I need expert medical advice, I ask Dr. B most of the time.

Right decision.Self prescription for a learned homeopath is very difficult.

Hi

Most of the times, I decide on my remedy in consultation with another Homeopath friend.

Keep smiling Smile
