    Posted: 29 Nov. 08 at 01:03
I am not sure where to post this, so I hope this is the place.  I am using a natural, bioidentical progesterone cream to help with premenopausal symtoms, such as: irregular period, anovulatory cycles, headaches and cramps.  I read today on the bottom of a new jar of a GOOD BRAND progesterone cream, there's a warning about a chemical known to cause cancer; progesterone.

I have read Dr. John Lees book called "what your doctor won't tell you about premenopause"  The book is VERY informative and I believe what he is saying.  With my knowledge as an RN, what Dr Lee says,  makes very good sense to me.  I am confused why there is this warning on this jar.  I have researched it and of course I am skeptical of the powerful lobbies of the pharma companies and all alike.  Is this some kind of scare tactic to prevent women from using progesterone cream to help normalize their hormones?  What is your experience with this and do you have some guidance for me.  I do know that estrogen dominance is REAL and estrogen will cause cancer, but now I'm questioning my own intuition, research and knowledge.

I appreciate your advice with this.

Thank you.

Dear Bean
Dr. Lee 's book is verry informative, great reading.
More on this subject can be found at  www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com

It would aid you to seek counsil from a classical trained homeopath and address your symptoms from an overall prespective, the hormone imbalance is not all that is effected .
There are homeopathic remedies that may also help you greatly.(more so than the topicals your using now)Wink
has a directory of homeopaths for each state.

hello all,
I have heard great things about this cream and so I plan to use it, when it comes to that time.

Do you know the best way to apply it and how often, how much?

I have heard conflicting stories about how to use it, you see.

Dear C
Welcome to the forum
Its best to apply the cream on the chinese meridian points that directly relate to the female reproductive area.
The wrists,and Ankles.....................................................
Good I dea to get Dr.John Lee's book for more details.Wink

A thought to add;
This is only a physical medicine,it does not address the mental/emotional imbalances  like homeopathy does so its important to look into making an appt. with a classical homeopath.

Homeopathy for Menopause Symptoms
Homeopaths treat the menopausal symptoms by constitutional treatment. This is the process by which a homeopathic physician selects and administers a woman's own constitutional remedy based on the totality of her symptoms and her physical, mental and emotional state. This strengthen the body's vital defenses and restore a healthy balance and sense of well-being. Most of the major homeopathic remedies may be used for the symptoms of menopause.

Homeopathic Remedies for Menopausal Discomforts
Depression, Nerves, Irritability
Hot Flashes And Night Sweats
Night Sweats
Insomnia
Constipation
Involuntary Urination Menstruation And PMS
Sex: Painful intercourse
Vaginal Dryness

Homeopathy is an art and a science. Consult a homeopathic physician to determine appropriate remedy for you as each case is different. At the hands of a skilled homeopathic practitioner homeopathy can do miracles.

Unless you are familiar with homeopathy, it is always best to consult with a professional homeopath instead of attempting to do it on your own as you could ess things up.

How do you know if you have estrogen dominance.  I think I may have this and mentioned it to my homepath - he's prescribed sepia and if that is not working silica.

Obviously I'm concerned about the estrogen dominance as I too have read that it can cause or make you more susepticle to breast cancers.  Is there anything I can do myself to help?

How do you know if you have estrogen dominance.
A test can be done to make sure,If the homeopath is verry trained in these sort of imbalances they can see by your symptoms indicating estrogen dominance.
I think I may have this and mentioned it to my homepath - he's prescribed sepia and if that is not working silica. You can't prescribe for just this one symptom, homeopaths need to prescribe for the overall imbalance as the article indicates "constitutional prescribing".So perhaps this is why you dont have results. Was a full casetaking done?
How do you know if its nOt working?
