By inclusion of the unproven or partly proven medicines the reliability of the materia medica will certainly reduce |

It is helpful for people who don't have easy access for homeopath, or for people who can't afford to pay for the medical service, and of course it's our duty as homeopath to help anyone who ask for homeopathic treatment...
It is also extant the popularity of homeopathy...more people become aware of it's beneficial
And it is also educational for homeopathic practitioners who can learn from the written cases.
The risks, in my opinion, are minor..because mistake can be made also in face-to-face consultation.
It may be sometimes more difficult to find the right remedy with e-consultation, but in some cases it can also be an adventage ..(no judemental eyes...) |

For the simple reason that so much is seen during a consultation that helps in distinguishing between medicines. For instance the type of polyp that responds to Teucricum is different in shape to that of Calc Carb or Sanguinria. The ulcer of Lachesis is different to that of Nit Ac. These are things that are missed if the patient is not seen in person. Also in order to set out a management plan one needs to know what is wrong with the patient (do a diagnosis) and I do not think that we should always accept a diagnosis from another person. Even today I saw a new patient with low back pain who came in with a set of x-rays. The radiologists report stated that there was a slight anterolisthesis with no pars defects and normal disk heights. I thought differently and ordered a CT-Scan which showed bilateral pars defects, a large disk bulge and stenosis. How whould I have been able to advise the patient or set out a means of doing an outcome evaluation without knowing what was wrong? |

It should only be practised if the patient has no oportunity to meet a homeopath in person or, for the homeopath to follow up cases (patients he has met already) when the homeopath is away from he's normal place of practice or the patient is away! |

No, Homeopathy does not treat the desease but it treat the patient Untill the patient is personally seen by the doctor and discussed opersonally, I think it is not desirable to treat a patient |

e-Consultation can be alowed under some regulation for the practioners of Homoeopathy.
Risk factors for patients,
1. Identity of the patient camn be disclosed out on e- consultations
2.Patient in absence of any regulatioons may not discole out the important subjective complaints and past history of the illness.
3. Prognosis of illness may be affected in absence of regulation. |

There may be a junior who wants a senior’s help.
There may be a help less patient, having no approach to a skilled doctor.
There may be a critical case requiring a broad discussion.
If suggested remedy has a risk the questioner may be requested to meet some one in his/ her area.
