Remedies after Cataract Surgery
Dr. Wurzler has given us his valuable experience in the treatment after operations. After an operation upon the eye, he considers Aconite the principal remedy, except in patients of very mild temperament. Ignatia will generally subdue the violent pains in the temples and eyes; if these are accompanied with vomiting, Bryonia will be required. If the pain is of a jerking character and attended with vomiting and lienteria, Asarum is the best remedy; if burning pain with diarrhoea sets in, Arsenic will be required; hammering and jerking pains in the eye are relieved by Crocus. Stinging pain in the temples followed by loss of appetite, was relieved by Thuja. If the operation of depressing the lens failed, and the lens broke up in fragments, Senega accelerated the process of absorption very much; and finally, if the objects appeared as if tinged with blood, Strontiana will cure .—Allg. Caution with Apis
Apis must be given cautiously during pregnancy, because if given in low potency and frequent doses it may bring about a miscarriage, especially before or at the third month.
Arsenicum vs Secale If you have an indolent ulcer, discharging an ichorus offensive pus, you almost always think of Arsenicum. Yet Secale may be the remedy. The distinction is this: Arsenicum has relief by warmth, Secale by cold.
Iodine in Cancer
We find Iodine indicated in cancer of the uterus, particularly with profuse hemorrhages. The leucorrhoea is characteristic, being yellowish and very corrosive. This, in conjunction with sallow, tawny skin, ravenous appetite, etc., makes Iodine the remedy which will relieve many cases and cure some.
Hydrocephalus
In hydrocephalus, the most similar remedy to Apis in the stage of exudation is Sulphur. Sulphur is indicated more on general principles than for its particular affinity for the meninges. Helleborus is also similar to Apis in hydrocephalus. Apis is useful while there is still some irritation of the brain as indicated by the cephalic cry. Helleborus is indicated when torpor predominates when the child lies wholly unconscious.

New AMA guidelines will recommend that state boards discipline doctors who make public statements that disagree with conventional drug treatment. Those who helped craft the guidelines call doctors who support natural medicine ‘quacks’. The AMA receives millions in advertising dollars from the Pharmaceutical industry.

Viburnum Opulus : Prevents miscarriage. Mother Tincture – repeated history of miscarriage. < motion, >open air; > pressure and lying down; < sudden jarring, < night, < stuffy room (feels faint). Depressed; desires solitude. Cramps begin in the back, bleeding profuse and gushing. Frequent and very early miscarriage, causing sterility. (Congestive state 30C, 1M)
Viburnum Prunifolium : A uterine tonic. It is particularly valuable in preventing miscarriage, whether habitual or otherwise [Ref. Dr. J.H. Clarke]. Menstrual irregularities of sterile women with uterine displacement. (30C)

Aralia Racemosa in Asthma
The patient cannot lie down as breathing in that position is more difficult. Fears he will “suffocate, and is obliged to sit up day and night. The least exertion takes away the breath. Relief by bending forward, elbows on knees. The obstruction to breathing is during inspiration and the shoulders are raised in the effort to cause expansion of the chest. Expiration is comparatively free.

Aranea Diadema
The most characteristic features of this remedy are, the tendency to a periodic recurrence of the symptoms at exactly the same hour, the general tendency to coldness (he feels cold to the bone) and the decided aggravation during cold-damp or rainy weather. Also, he feels as if parts were enlarged.

Medical Freedom Loses in California
In California (U.S.), Governor Brown just approved a law that denies all religious and personal exemptions to vaccination. The current law requires 49 doses of 14 vaccines before age 6. Unvaccinated children will not be able to attend public or private school or daycare. Barbara Loe Fisher, head of the National Vaccine Information Center stated: If the state can tag, track down and force us against our will to be injected with biologicals of known and unknown toxicity today, there will be no limit on which individual freedoms the state can take away in the name of the greater good tomorrow.

Federal Vaccine Bill
A new bill working its way through the U.S. congress is the “Vaccinate All Children Act of 2015” (H.R. 2232). It would deny all religious and philosophical exemptions to vaccination for every school age child in the entire United States.

Cuba is the First
The World Health Organization just designated Cuba the first country on the planet to entirely eliminate mother-to-child transmission of syphilis and HIV. Cuba accomplished this in part with increased access to early prenatal care, HIV and syphilis testing, treatment for those who test positive, caesarean deliveries and formula feeding.

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), Library holds the unique manuscript of the sixth edition of Samuel Hahnemann’s Organon der Heilkunst. The manuscript is Hahnemann’s own copy of the fifth edition of the Organon with his notes for the sixth edition, handwritten throughout the volume. The sixth edition of the Organon was not published until 1921, nearly eighty years after Hahnemann completed it. You can read the manuscript here:
Capsicum

Veterinary Tips – Cows
Use Ignatia for grief or any emotional trauma. Routinely use when calf is taken from cow for both animals. Also, give Lac defloratum30c to the calf twice daily for two days following the Ignatia after separation from the cow. It helps the offspring to cope with the loss of the mother.

Swine Flu Prophylactic?
During a swine flu epidemic, Dr. Kalyan Banerjee’s clinic prescribed Eupatorium Perfoliatum 30 as a prophylactic to approximately 36,000 individuals over the course of a year. The doctor lacked resources for aggressive follow up, but never received confirmation of any case of swine flu from those who had taken the Eupatoriam.
