TIPS and SECRETS – 8

A useful article about TIPS and SECRETS – 8.Full details about TIPS and SECRETS – 8

We invite you to send in your favorite Tips and Secrets on homeopathy. We will publish a select group each month, acknowledging the sender. They may be based on your own experience or taken from homeopathic literature. Please identify the source of your information and your name and country. Send your tips to us at [email protected]

Remember, a tip is not the whole iceberg! Use these tips as part of a totality of symptoms. Let them inspire further research. Using specifics (“take this for that”) in isolation may prove disappointing and can lead to suppression.

These are the tips of our readers and do not necessarily express the views of Hpathy.com or ‘Homeopathy for Everyone’.

Roundworms in Cats

Heavy infestation leads to rough fur, lack of appetite, weight loss, or vomiting and diarrhea. Worms may be visible (white, 2-4 inches long) in either vomited material or stool. In rare cases, constipation, peritonitis or pneumonia. Newborn kittens may develop rickets.

Abrotanum 12x for 10 days. Follow with two administrations, one week apart of Calcium carbonicum 30c, five globules each dose.

Rickets in Puppies

Swelling of joints and lameness which may progress to bending of the long bones of the limbs and curvature of the thoracic cage. Apart from feeding vitamin D, the following remedies will be of great value:

Calcarea carbonica 30c – For soft fat puppies especially of the brachycephalic breed. Give weekly for two months.

Calcarea phosphorica 30c – More suitable for leaner puppies.

Failure of Cardiac valve in Cats

The cat will keep her head elevated as much as possible, as her difficulties increase when she lies down. In case of damage to or failure of the cardiac valve, administer Convallaria 3c three times a day.

Homeopathy with Wildlife

Wild animals tend to hide their symptoms or show them differently. For example, a human infant or puppy may cry when hungry, whereas a young squirrel would not make a sound when hungry since that could attract predators.

Aconitum is often the first remedy given to a wild animal due to its fear from being captured, handled, and in the possession of humans. Aconite may also help those animals that are in shock from fear.

An animal with a high vital force that has sustained an acute condition from a serious insult often has needed a single dose of a higher potency homeopathic medicine, such as a 200c or 1m.

Tooth Decay in Animals

There are two major reasons why tooth decay occurs in animals and these are use of commercial foods and vaccination. If you have been feeding a good quality home diet using raw meat and tooth decay still occurs, it is likely because your animal has been vaccinated in the past. It is one of the side effects of vaccination that there will be decay with even the best of foods. The type of decay is peculiar to vaccine influence, that is that it occurs at the juncture of the gums and the teeth, what are called “neck lesions.”

For very severe forms of lick granulomas in dogs with much swelling, inflammation and ulceration of the skin in cases with arthritis, think Commocladia dendrata 6X(Malignant skin inflammation, Radar+ Own experience)

For acute gaseous distension in ruminating animals after they stole highly digestible food, think Argenticum Nitricum 30C (own experience)

For severe paralytic hip disease with atrophy of the hind legs in dogs (German Shepherds) use Hypericum 30 for symptomatic help (J. Brodie) (it is better to find the patient’s own remedy)

Homeopathy for Cattle

Phytolacca 3x is very successful in increasing milk yields. Given in alternation with Asafoetica 4x, milk yields will be increased even more within a natural framework.

Belladonna 4x, one hour prior to milking, for cows which will “pull up the drawbridge” when they come to be milked. The animals then allow themselves to be milked.

Chamomilla 3x, three times a day, for milk dripping from the udder without the cow being milked.

Rimadyl Warning

Since Rimadyl’s 1997 launch, the FDA has received reports of about 1,000 dogs that died or were put to sleep and 7,000 more that had bad reactions after taking the drug, records and official estimates indicate. The FDA says such events are significantly underreported.
