I am an Indian but live in Australia and have recently come back from India. While on my India trip, I brought Bio-Combination 21 Tablets for my daughter who is teething and is 1.5 years old. The pharmacist recommended I give her 2 tablets in the morning and 2 at bedtime however, this isn’t helping her at all. I googled and found that the correct dose for this tablet was 2 tablets 4 times a day with an interval of 4 hours. However, I don’t want to rely on google alone. Request you to kindly advise what is the correct dose of biocombination 21 tablets for teething. Also, on the bottle I read the manufactured date which is June 2008 and there is no expiry date. Does this tablet not have any expiry date? If yes, is this still alright to give her? Request you to kindly advise as she is experiencing diarrhoe intermittently when her teeth break through and is really irritable because of teething. Please help.
One. Homeopathy remedies usually do not have an expiry date.
Two. Why do you want to give your daughter this combination? Is erupting teeth a ‘disease’? Did you, your father or your grand parents used this combination to help with your teething?
Teething is a natural process and some pain and discomfort is likely to be associated with it. Homeopathic remedies should only be given when there are specific associated symptoms like fever, diarrhoea, high irritability etc.
