My 10 year old son has a severe, dry cough, without phlegm, daytime only, since 7 weeks without any sign of improvement. Though diagnosed as Perussis it was never proofed with a CBC or bronchoscopy. Antibiotics, steroids, antihistamines and codeine all proofed useless, so did Drosera,Phosphorus and Spongia + usual herbal remedies and teas. Since he does not cough at night, I wonder if it is Whooping cough or if it is a habitual remnant of the initial flu.
Hello, I am sorry to hear about your son. The number#1 remedy in my practice for cough in damp conditions and only in day is Dulcamara, so you may want to try ths. Having said that, if the condition has been here for so long, and you tried so many conventional drugs, you would probably benefit from have a proper consultation.
For chronic issues, it is best to have a one-to-one consultation to ensure a proper case analysis, prescription and case management. Please be so kind to contact a homeopath in your area. For information, here is a list of recognised organisations: https://hpathy.com/homeopathy-organizations/
