of the 5 (or so) questions that I had, I submitted 2. after reading the intro course, most of what I wanted to know was answered (about 1.5 of my submitted questions and 2 or 3 unsubmitted). I took the course in search of medical help for loved ones but was stunned to find myself reading a patient profile for a particular medicine that fit me to a T! maybe 15 or 20% did not fit, but the part that did fit was very precise. recently I quit smoking because I felt something was wrong with my health, and that not smoking would give my body a chance to heal..and that also I could put my mind to the task more effectively. is there any reason why I can’t just take the medicine with the patient description that fits my current state? I enjoyed your reply to anna on self-treatment, but if I know already, why can’t I just get that medicine and try it?
looking forward to hearing from you.
Although it seems to you that the patient profile that you read fits you to the T, I would still refrain from suggesting self-medication without professional guidance. One reason for this is that the profile of many medicines is very close and sometimes even 1 symptom can change the prescription.
There are other issues too like deciding the right potency, repetition etc. So my advice would still be to work with a professional homeopath!
