In recent years, knowledge based on the individual ‘Sensation’ of families in Plants, Rows and Columns in Minerals, and Sub-kingdoms in Animals has been explored and systematized. Recent research in the plant kingdom has advanced this idea even further. Within the Plant kingdom, Dr Sankaran identified the specific sensations of each family, order, and subclass, noting that there are six subclasses of dicotyledons.

He discovered that each subclass of dicotyledons shared a central theme with certain animal and mineral groups, leading to the Superclass concept. Each of the six Superclasses has a specific dynamic response, linking remedies from all three kingdoms. By identifying an individual’s Superclass, practitioners can more precisely determine the appropriate remedy.

The Superclass concept represents the latest advancement in Dr. Rajan Sankaran’s evolving ideas. It is a synopsis of all of Dr Sankaran’s developments, consolidating decades of rich experience and offering a clear guide on how to apply these insights in practice. It introduces the concept of Superclasses as part of the evolution of the Sensation Method.

What’s new is the discovery that various plants, minerals, animals, nosodes, and even neurotransmitters can now be assigned to the six classes, thus creating the Superclasses. These Superclasses differ in their dynamics; they represent the dynamic response to a specific perception, sensation, or experience.

1st Superclass – the response of the first superclass is “withdrawn and clinging” –  reflecting a state where the person prefers to withdraw themselves from the outside world and stay inside of a cocoon.

2nd Superclass – has a dynamic response like a snail – “opening and closing” – reflecting a person who wants to venture beyond his boundaries but is unable to leave its current safe zone (the home).

3rd Superclass – is the ‘bird type’, with the dynamic response of “limiting and expanding” – reflecting a person who has got more freedom to move out (beyond home/comfort zone) but is able to move within boundaries where they feel protected and safe.

4th Superclass – is ‘stable and settled’ – where the dynamic response is to seek stability, with the perception being one of instability, disturbance, or changeability. They want to maintain the status-quo.

5th Superclass – is ‘restless and must go out’ – where the person does not like to be chained down, is restless, like an explorer. Such a person is less dependent and more assertive. The need for safety-zone is no longer present in this superclass.

6th Superclass – is ‘destruction and violence’ – the dynamic response of the 6th superclass is violence or “fight or flight.” This implies that the perception or sensation would evoke responses of threat, terror, danger, or violence. These are people who are independent, decisive, authoritative, and responsible.

The Superclass idea enhances the understanding of remedies and individuals by grouping them by their traits and reactions. The Superclasses will prove to be a useful addition to the established repertoire of systematic analysis techniques that constitute the so-called Genius of Homeopathy. If you have followed Dr Sankaran’s work, this book is an essential guide to the next step of his ever-evolving method.

  • In this way the superclasses are an essential tool for using Rajan Sankaran’s method.

    • Barry, if you have a complaint, why don’t you say what it is? I have no idea what you’re referring to! Are you saying that Dr. Sankaran is confusing homeopaths? In what way? I have no idea what you’re talking about.

  • The classification of the Superclasses helps a lot to find the correct remedy. Sometimes all patterns and symptoms become a minefield, this offers a very clear compass to find your way.
