Mom, do people even know who Barry Gibb is?

Maybe we need to explain. Barry is the last living brother of The Bee Gees, famous for the “Saturday Night Fever” soundtrack

and for, without a doubt, the most iconic songs of the Disco era of the 1970’s, including “Stayin’ Alive”, and “How Deep Is Your Love”.

Barry Gibb today. I consider myself lucky to have actually seen a living legend! We’re the same age, and I don’t understand why he looks better than I do! Anyway, here is our night at the concert:

Shana predicted he would come on with “Jive Talkin'” and she was right! High points of the concert–Barry said, “Here’s a song I don’t even remember,” and it was “Stayin’ Alive”!

Next great moment, Barry starts to sing, “I Started a Joke” and all of a sudden, Robin Gibb appears out of nowhere as if he were right there on stage, you have to see it to believe it:

Mom, maybe we should start the quiz. Our old friend Gabi wrote to us, she was attacked by almonds:

Hi Elaine,

I was walking back home from downtown. I had had a pretty awful interview at this art gallery with the owner. In any case. I started eating almonds from a bag from a Hallal store where I usually go. The store bags them from bulk. The almonds were in my bag since the morning. I’ve had allergic reactions in the past but mild ones with just an itchy throat. I get this from many other things, apples, carrots, peaches, you name it. So I simply take a dose of Sulphur and it’s gone. (Sulphur because of the itching.)

The attack started after about 5 blocks and about 20 almonds later. I had Kali-iodatum 1M with me for hay fever so I took one dose of that but it didn’t do anything. I realized something was wrong. It may have started as an itchy throat but soon got very bad; this was before the Kali dose. By then I was already swelling up very badly and my throat was beginning to close shut. I went into a store and bought some coke. I thought caffeine might stop the effect of the remedy? I thought perhaps I aggravated with the Kali but I soon realized that it had nothing to do with that and it was simply the large amount of almonds I had eaten because I had never eaten so many almonds before in my life on an empty stomach yet (this is after teaching a 3 hour class too)!

My tongue was now swollen and I started to cough uncontrollably but I had another 6 blocks to get home so I kept walking. I covered my head with a scarf and looked down because I would have scared anyone in the street with the way I looked!

I had hives all over me when I got home, I was red from my neck all the way down to my feet. The worst part was under my arms. I could not speak since my tongue was so swollen. I also had palpitations but I tried to stay calm despite my kids threatening to call an ambulance! The worst part was when they couldn’t find my remedy! Now I was in a panic! I got under a cold shower straight away. About 10 minutes later they found the _______________ 200C. I was still in the shower when I took the remedy.

I felt more calm after about 3 or 4 doses five minutes apart. I could actually feel my throat opening up and I could swallow. I stayed under the cold shower for a while. I repeated the 200c about an hour later. I was very swollen but calm now in bed with cold towels on my face.

It’s now twenty-four hours later, and I am fine!
