Case Quizes

“Miss Lascivious” Has Left The Building!

Agnes Moorehead

Gee, I wonder what this month’s quiz patient’s problem can possibly be? And what her remedy is? Can you guess the answer?

Mom, it’s time for the quiz!  And I’m pretty sure Firuzi and Alan are wondering what happened to you!

Shana, first we have earth-shattering news!

I know, I know; Aretha Franklin…

The Queen Of Soul…

…passed away last month at age 76 from pancreatic cancer.  I know you were probably waiting for me to mention that.  Anyway, I would share Aretha singing “Border Song” with her birthday buddy Elton John (because that duet was great).  However, I discovered something else just now that I found interesting. Also yes, this is a James Taylor song in case you were wondering.

James Taylor again??????  Shana, listen to me; we have to find something that’s going to epitomize Aretha Franklin’s singular talent–what she’s known for, in other words!  And that’s why I’ve chosen her jaw-dropping performance of Burt Bacharach’s “I Say A Little Prayer”.  This is how we want to remember her:

I also think it’s important to share this because didn’t you say Aretha was part of the Civil Rights movement?

Yes, we called her songs “the Sound-Track to the Civil Rights Movement”, especially the chorus in “Think” where she sings, “Freedom, Freedom, Oh Freedom, Oh Freedom!!!!”  Maybe we’ll play that on our way out.

By the way besides the older hits, my favorite Aretha songs are “Who’s Zoomin’ Who?” and “Freeway of Love”.

Is that so????  Well, I’ll make a note of that.

Anyway, guess what I just found out?

Are we no longer talking about Aretha Franklin?

Ten years ago on September 1st, “the Suite Life of Zack and Cody” ended…

I guess we’re not…

…which means September 26th marks the 10th anniversary of the spinoff “Suite Life on Deck” where the twins are in high school.

My God this is interesting!!!!!!

Are you being sarcastic?  Anyway, I’m all verklempt.  I can’t believe it’s been ten years since the Sprouse twins were last on TV.  Now Cole Sprouse plays Jughead Jones in a CW drama based on the Archie comic book characters, a show called “Riverdale”.

Care-zy!

Mom, people do care!  Anyway, “Animaniacs” turned 25 years old this month.  We’ve talked about this show before.  (Not in the ezine, just in general).

Ohhhhhhhh! Not in the eeeeeee-zine.  Well, that’s different!  Never mind!

You actually said that this was a very funny show, and I have to agree!  There’s supposed to be a reboot of the show coming to Hulu in 2020.  I hate to sound like the people on the internet…

There are people on the internet????

…who complain about shows they loved as a kid being rebooted…

Oh yeah, I hate those people!

…but, I don’t want them to ruin it.

Ruin what?

Anyway, for our readers who have no idea what we’re talking about, here’s a clip:

Also, I love how Wakko sounds like Ringo Starr.  I am in desperate need of a time machine. Where’s Doc Brown when you need him?

You should probably start the quiz now.  Who’s our patient?

It’s Hillary E. Clinton.  (Not to be confused with Hillary R. Clinton, who is a completely different person!)

Hillary E. Clinton again??????

What can I say, she’s got problems!

*************************************

HI Elaine,

I continued with the Cactus grandiflorus with good results for a few days.  Last weekend, though, I took a photography class that I think was too much for me, because I got really stressed out.

We had classroom time in the morning and then went out in the field in the afternoon.  Both afternoons I got stomach aches (tight knot)…

Sounds like Nux vomica.

… because I was having trouble putting the stuff the teacher talked about into practice.

I did take Nux vomica a few times and it did help

(most obviously it stopped a craving for alcohol.)

I have been having some new symptoms over the past week:

-a greatly increased sex drive with

-spasms in my uterus and va-gina that feel like I’m just on the edge of orgasm

-lots of small farts throughout the day, only occasionally noisy

-Extremely sleepy/drowsy despite sleeping well at night

-Occasionally waking up between 2 and 3 but falling back asleep fairly quickly

-Feeling kinda mentally discombobulated and disorganized—hard to get things done, dreamy, lots of sexual fantasizing (and not about my husband but about someone I met a couple of weeks ago—when I think about him I start having those vaginal and uterine spasms)

-I’m crying even more watching feel-good segments on the news and listening to a lot more music

-I’m still having palpitations, but they feel more like a fullness in my chest, like my heart fills my chest but it’s not particularly uncomfortable

-I haven’t noticed any changes in my eating, but I’ve been drinking less water and I’m having to remind myself to drink a little more

-I seem to be talking more and being more expansive in my behavior around other people

-I’ve been having a lot of anxiety, although I’m not sure that would be unusual in a married woman who suddenly finds herself almost obsessed with another man.

-My bunion on my right foot has been hurting a lot, even on days when I haven’t been out walking (that may be because I need new insoles for my shoes, which I just bought)

Causation: meeting this man, who was the instructor in my photography class.

Ah yes, the infamous photography class!  Well, “Hillary”, I see a lot of _________________ symptoms here.  Do you have a materia medica?  Can you look it up?

Hi, Elaine.  I looked it up in Murphy’s materia medica.  Wow, that sounds dead-on!

I’ll order the remedy from Hahnemann Labs….Shall I start with 30C?

Thanks!

“Hillary”

Yes, start with 30C.  Let me know what happens!

Hi Elaine,

The ____________ arrived yesterday, and I took my first dose last night around 9:45.  I fell asleep pretty quickly and didn’t wake until about 4 a.m., when I noticed that most of my symptoms were gone.  I fell asleep and woke again at a little before 7 a.m.  Most of my symptoms were back, although they weren’t quite as intense as before the first dose.  I succussed the bottle 10 times and took another dose. Since then the intensely sexual feelings (uterine and vaginal spasms, sexual fantasies) and anxiety have decreased a lot, although they’re not completely gone.  My anxiety level is a lot lower, although I’m still feeling a bit discombobulated and disorganized.  The intensity of the palpitations and the sensation as if my heart filled my chest has decreased significantly also.

So I definitely seem to be headed in the right direction with _____________.  Given I’ve had to take a second dose already, I’m wondering if the LM potencies would be a better choice…but I know I tend to be impatient.

Regards,
“Hillary”

Hi Elaine,

For the first time since working with you I’ve been reluctant to take another dose of the remedy. I kinda enjoyed being an over-sexed sixty-something 🙂  Fortunately, the accompanying anxiety has been too much to take and has prompted me to keep going with the ____________30C.  It just didn’t seem to be thorough in its effects, though. Today I decided I probably needed to plus the remedy bottle, and I muscle-tested that I needed to plus the bottle 6 times, so I did.  I guess that puts me at 36C now.  That was this morning; by this afternoon “Miss Lascivious” had disappeared and I felt the most centered and grounded that I’ve felt in weeks!  My heart feels much calmer.  I am more tired than usual, but I’m attributing that to the healing process.

I just thought I’d update you.  For now I’m holding off on ordering the LM1.  I can get it pretty quickly if I do decide it might be a better bet.

Regards,
“Hillary E. Clinton”

OK, everybody!  If you know the remedy, write to me at [email protected]. The answer will be in next month’s ezine.  And for now, like I said, we’re going out with the Queen of Soul’s big hit from 1968.  She says, “You Better Think!” (Oh freedom, freedom….)
