Whole Body Screaming!

Written by Elaine Lewis

It looks like another COVID case! Try and guess the remedy!

It’s time for another quiz, Mom!

I find that hard to believe!

Don’t look now, but, we missed two very important deaths from the April Death Report!

Get out!!!!  We did?  Well, actually, that would have shown up in the May Quiz, probably.  Who did we report on in May?

May was a very big month!  We lost Luis from Sesame Street….

Oh, right…

Guitarist Joe Messina from the Funk Brothers (the Motown studio band)…

Right…

Comedian Gilbert Gottfried…

Right…

And most of all, Bobby Rydell!

OMG!  No wonder we didn’t have room for anybody else!  Who died that we should have reported on?

Liz Sheridan and Estelle Harris from “Seinfeld”!  Both of them were 93 years old.

Liz, of course, played Jerry Seinfeld’s mother, and Estelle Harris played George Costanza’s mother:

Left to right: Liz Sheridan with son Jerry, Estelle Harris with son George.

I have to tell you, “Seinfeld” was one of the funniest sitcoms ever, and there were no small parts!  Everyone on that show was a real character!  In this episode, the Seinfeld’s are visiting from Florida, but they won’t have dinner with the Costanza’s and George is very upset!  Jerry says to his mom, “Why won’t you have dinner with them?”  Mrs. Seinfeld says, “We don’t much care for the Costanza’s.  They’re so loud, they’re always fighting!  They’re exhausting, it’s like being in an asylum!”

RIP, Liz Sheridan and Estelle Harris!

This month, Motown songwriter, Ivy Joe Hunter (real name George Ivy Hunter), passed away at 82.

And Mom, it turns out he’s written a lot of your favorite songs, not to mention Motown’s signature song—“Dancing In The Street”!

You’re kidding!

And there’s a great song he wrote for the Four Tops called “Ask The Lonely”:

Four Tops | Spotify  The Four Tops

He wrote too many songs to name them all, but they include “Can You Jerk Like Me” by The Contours, “Truly Yours” by The Spinners, “I’ll Keep On Holding On” by The Marvelettes; but I think we should go out with one of his hits by The Temptations!

For sure, Shana, but, I can’t resist playing “I just wanna know, can you jerk like me?”

Who’s in the Quiz this month?

Marcia of Queensberry.

Who????

Marcia of Queensberry!

Is that her real name?

Of course not!

What’s wrong with her?

I think it’s covid.  She had covid before, and she said it’s just like the last time which was exactly 3 months ago!

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you now, the one and only….

Marcia of Queensberry!!!!!!

Good grief.

Hi, Elaine, I literally have almost the same symptoms I had in June.

Questionnaire

Name: Marcia of Queensberry

Age: 50

Male or Female: female

Weight: 160

Height: 5’4″

Date: 9/21/22

  1. Describe the complaint

Yesterday afternoon I began to sneeze a lot.  My daughter has the same thing, so I thought it was a cold.  I had a stuffy nose when I went to bed and did not sleep well.  My throat was sore as well.  I could hardly breathe and kept waking up choking on drainage.  I took a hot shower before bed, which helped some.  I then took Rhus T 200, but didn’t notice much.

Today things went down hill.  I had a fever by lunch time.  I am freezing to death.  I woke with a feeling of drainage in my throat and kept having to clear my throat.  Still sneezing some, clear mucus, with a completely stuffed up right nostril.  Throat is still awful, so I cannot eat.  I feel awful and have the terrible headache again when I lay down.  I have terrible body aches as well.  I tried the Covid nosode, but again didn’t notice much.  I feel too bad to think what else to do.  Temp is currently 101.9. I am urinating a lot, not matching how little I am drinking.  I am also very gassy, which is odd.

The worst is the body aches, all over, and the headache.  Sweet Lord, help my head.  I cannot even think with this.  It is in the temples, but also the back of my head.  I am weak and feverish, so I want to lie down, but then I hurt so much and putting my head on the pillow is torture.  Just like before. I also hate the stuffy nose.  It is stuffy and running (clear).

  1. Etiology–

I think it may be Covid.  Not sure yet.  Had to have a PCR test, the long one. Negative for Strep.  They had no flu tests.

  1. Sensation–

My head is throbbing, especially when I lay down.  It is worse lying down. It will just throb and I can feel my pulse in it.  Body aches, just feel like I am bruised maybe all over and it hurts to touch my own skin.  Nose is completely blocked on right side.

  1. Appearance–

I look terrible – like I’m strung out on something.  My eyes are somewhat droopy.  I didn’t sleep though because of the discomfort.  Eyes are half open.

  1. Location–where on the body is your complaint located?

Head- for the headache and the body aches are all over.  There isn’t an inch of my body that isn’t screaming.  Right nostril.

  1. Modalities–

Aches are better for warmth.  I sat outside in the heat a long time earlier.  I cannot stand the fan or AC.  I just shiver.  I also am hating cold drinks or food.

  1. Concomitants

I am tired and feel defeated.  I cannot believe I am this sick again.  I am in training and this is messing up everything.

  1. Discharges–

Nasal mucus is clear.

  1. Generals–

I am frozen.  I am in some despair.

  1. The mentals:

I am dull and kind of indifferent I think.  I am just so sick I can’t care about much else.

  1. What have you been saying?

Nothing really.  Just that I feel really bad.  I feel like someone has been dashing me on rocks.

  1. What are you doing?

Trying to drink, wishing I’d feel better.

  1. Describe your thirst and appetite–

Not thirsty, except hoping sometimes it will help my throat.  I have tried some hot drinks, but it doesn’t last.  My throat is not even really red either.

  1. Fever?

It has been constant since it started and continues to go up.  I don’t see it improve, but I feel better with warmth.

  1. Sweating?

No sweating.

  1. Odors?

None.

  1. What is most striking, peculiar or identifying about your condition?

I don’t know.  How terrible I feel.  How similar this is to the last time.

  1. Is there a diagnosis?

No.  Maybe  Covid.

  1. Describe your energy–

Quiet, dull, prostrated.  I can hardly get to the bathroom and back.  I am dizzy.

  1. What does your tongue look like?

White coated.

  1. If you have a cough…

No cough.

  1. If you haven’t already said if you’re hotter or colder than usual?

Freezing with chills and shivers.  My daughter just said she could feel the heat coming off me when I walked by.  My hands and feet are really cold.

9/21, 8:34 pm—Marcia, let’s try _______________200C.  Put a pellet into a half-filled bottle of water, 5 succussions before each dose, take a dose every 15 minutes (because of how severe it is) until you notice a response, then stop.

9/22, 10:37 am—Elaine, the ______________ helped.  I slept better last night.  Temp now is down to 99.7.  Throat is better.  Right nostril is better, but still a lot of sinus congestion.  Some of it seems to be moving into my lungs.

My head is still the thing.  Changing position magnifies the pain.  Going from standing to sitting is actually the worst.  It is a good minute or two of just pounding, throbbing in the top of my head.  Then it settles to a more tolerable level.  Changing from sitting to standing hurts too but not as bad.

Still thirstless, but urinating a lot.  Not eating.  Sitting outside now.  I feel better out here.

I want to lie down and rest but my head hurts then almost too much to rest.

9/22, 4:14 pm—Updating since this morning.  I have continued to do better.  My head was a bit better for a while, but now I’m noticing it worsening again so I just took another dose of ______________.

No fever now.  I have been sweating profusely all day.  Still thirstless and not hungry.  Less achey and feeling a bit more normal.  Not so exhausting to be standing.

9/22, 9:03 pm— I haven’t gotten any better this evening.  I dosed again just now.  My head is not as bad as it was this morning and yesterday, but not as good as it was earlier this afternoon.

Starting to feel a little chilly and not able to blow anything out now.  Just a general sense of not feeling as well, but it is nearing the end of the day for me.

Since I just took it again I’ll see how I feel the next 15 minutes and increase the frequency to see if it helps.

9/22, 9:31 pm—Marcia, do you have ______________1M?  If not, plus your 200C bottle three times.

9/22, 11:23 pm—I took the 1M.  My temp now is 98.7.  My head is better now too.  I went and sat down and then got up just to make sure!  So hopefully this continues.  I’m very tired so I am going to go to bed now.

9/23, 6:21 am—Perfect!  So it really was ____________!  Yay!!!!  We just had to get the potency right!  Those high potencies are so crucial in acute cases!  Glad you’re feeling better!

OK, everybody, that’s it!  If you know the remedy, write to me at [email protected].  The answer will be in next month’s ezine.  Now, as promised, another Ivy Joe Hunter composition, this time by The Temptations–a masterpiece, one of my favorites!

“Born To Love You”

I could listen to this all day!
