Valvular heart disease refers to several disorder and diseases of the valves of heart, which regulate the blood through the heart chambers.

Valvular heart disease aetiology

Historically, the most common cause of valvular heart disease was rheumatic fever. Acute rheumatic fever produces a chronic inflammatory valvulitis resulting in thickening of the valve apparatus and retraction of the valve leaflets. These changes predisposes to malcoaptation of the leaflets during valve closure and development of regurgitation. Furthermore, progressive valvular scarring and fusion of the valve opening with resultant stenosis.

The mitral valve is most commonly affected, followed in decreasing order by combined mitral and aortic valve involvement, isolated aortic valve involvement and then tricuspid valve involvement. The pulmonic valve is rarely affected; rheumatic valves are prone to infection, which in turn can result in further valvular degeneration.

Other common disorders associated with specific valvular lesions include the following:

    • IT IS POSSIBLE TO TREAT AROTIC VALVE DISEASE BY HOMEOPATHS, AS I AM SUFFERING FROM AROTIC VALVE PROBLEM SINCE THREE YEARS AND DOCTOR HAS ADVISED FOR AVR.

      • It is just a matter of spectrum of wisdom, anything you put inside you will effect and affect. Position kills and medicines treat by synthesis. Homeopathy is capable of not just treatment rather genetic modulation.

  • My Mother has been diagnosed with Tricuspid Valve Regurgitation Severe, I heard Kalmia Latifolia is very good can you suggest the best dose and how often.

  • altho Im 80, I am also very active, but recently been diagnosed with Aortic valve calcification, and I am beginning to feel breathless at times… Is there a homeopathic medicine that will get rid of the calcification?…and will it start doing it as soon as I start the Medication.. I assume, as well, that I should restrict taking anything that includes calcium???.. many thanks

    • 1. Do NOT stop taking natural food and drinks that contain calcium. But, also remember NOT to take calcium
supplements. It is not the excess of calcium in the body, but it is the deposits of calcium at wrong places
      instead of bones.
      2. If you have hypercalcemia or calcification at places where it is should not be, then consider taking Magnesium
Bisglynate and Vitamin K2 in MK-7 form. Vitamin K2 is effective in transporting the calcium from places it is not
desired to bones. Magnesium reduces the stiffness of hypercalcemia – magnesium is involved in more than 300
bio chemical reactions in the body and must be balanced with calcium in our bodies.

      3. Calcarea Carb may likely be beneficial. Calcarea Carb must NOT be repeated frequently in old age
