18 months old male kid patient k/c/o Atrial Septal Defect (Congenital Heart Defect) and Down’s Syndrome reported with Impending Congestive Heart Failure with recurrent hospitalizations and episodes of pulmonary pneumonia was advised ASD Valve Repair Surgery at PGI, Chandigarh by the age of 3 years, and was given a date for surgery by the age of 3, got promising and amazing treatment response exclusively with Homoeopathy recovered few weeks prior to the date of surgery with repaired ASD and asymptomatic patient.
2D ECHO – 12.4.2018 (BEFORE TREATMENT)
Echo revealed the findings of 8 mm Ostium Secundum – Atrial Septal Defect with Left to Right Shunt and tiny PDA with dilated Left Atrium and Left Ventricles.
The patient had severe symptoms of dyspnea and dry cough with signs of impending heart failure and recurrent pneumonia symptoms for last 6 months.
2D ECHO – 20.9.2019 (AFTER TREATMENT)
Echo revealed the findings of 2 mm Ostium Secundum – Atrial Septal Defect with and tiny non audible PDA with normal Left Atrium and Left Ventricles.
Clinically patient remained asymptomatic from the first week of treatment.

Rx
- Digitalis 6c (Impending Heart Failure x 3 months)
- Syphilinum 1M STAT (1 dose)
- Spongia 6c (For 3-9 months)
- Baryta carb 30, 200, 1M, 10M (STAT increasing potency)
No allopathic medicine was allowed in this case although he was on diuretics and anti-hypertensives on Day 1, which were tapered down in 1st week with caution.
The patient had shown dramatic improvement in generalized growth parameters as well other than recovering from the ASD and treatment is still ongoing for Down’s Syndrome and kid is responding well to the same.
