An Acute Case of Diarrhoea

Written by Chetna Rochani

Dr. Chetna Rochani treats an acute case of diarrhea in a woman of 32. Desire to be magnetized, diarrhea driving her out of bed, worse on motion, worse in morning were some of the indications for the simillimum.

On Sunday morning 18/8/2019, at around 9:30 am, a 32 years old neighbour lady complained of diarrhea (Homeopathy for Diarrhea) that occurred around 7am onwards. Profuse watery stool, yellow in color.  It started immediately on waking. It went on for two hours, every 20-30 minutes.

No H/O outside food. No fever. No vomiting. No pain in abdomen. The patient complained of diarrhea on moving a little bit, e.g. turning in the bed or sitting up from a supine position. She had to rush to the bathroom to avoid spoiling her clothes. She said her energy was going down and she had an “uncomfortable feeling in mind and body. She felt better by holding her husband’s hand and asked me ”How long will be I holding him?” I took it as desire to be magnetized.

This patient was tall, lean and very friendly while giving her symptoms with complete faith in me. I was bound to prescribe phosphorus. (Otherwise Podo, Sulphur, Nat. sulph came very close in repertorisation.)

On repertorisation:

MIND – MAGNETIZED – desires to be

RECTUM – DIARRHEA – general – morning – driving out of bed

RECTUM – DIARRHEA – general – morning – waking with urging

RECTUM – DIARRHEA – general – morning –

RECTUM – DIARRHEA – general – motion – agg.

RECTUM – DIARRHEA – general – painless

STOOL – WATERY – yellow

Rx: Phos 200 single dose

The “uncomfortable” feeling went away immediately and her energy improved soon after. However, within 20 minutes she again she passed yellow, watery diarrhea.

Rx:  Repeat Phos 200

After 2 hours she passed a small quantity of diarrhea and after that she had no diarrhea all.  After 2 hours she had her lunch and no return of symptoms.

It has been over one week now and the patient is doing well.
