Homeopathic remedy Arsenicum Iodatum from A Manual of Homeopathic Therapeutics by Edwin A. Neatby, comprising the characteristic symptoms of homeopathic remedies from clinical indications, published in 1927.

      (AsI3). Iodide of Arsenic. Trituration.

SYMPTOMS

THE iodide of arsenic has much the same sphere of action as arsenicum album and its indications and modalities are the same. It has, however, a closer relation to inflamed glands and tuberculous conditions, due, no doubt, to the iodine element in its constitution. It has, therefore, found its place in therapeutics chiefly as a remedy for catarrhal diseases in anaemic and tuberculous patients, in tuberculous lymphatic glands, in tabes mesenterica, pulmonary phthisis with cavities in the lungs, hectic fever, night sweats, &c., in chronic pneumonia with abscess in the lung, in the night sweats of phthisis and other debilitating diseases. It is also very efficacious in influenza and hay fever. Besides tuberculous affections it has been much used in organic diseases of the heart, and in cancerous conditions, lupus and epithelioma. In one respect it differs from arsenicum album, viz., in the patient being better after eating. Appetite is increased (iodium).
