Boils

 

Belladonna, diluted tincture applied on cotton to allay pain and inflammation.

Hepar sulphur, 1/12 grain three or four times a day, 75.

Inject thirty minims of 2 Percent or plus Percent carbolic acid into base.

Poultices to hasten maturation.

Resorcin in alcohol to relieve pain. Roentgen ray.

Silica, prolonged suppuration, 183.

Sulphur internally and in alcohol locally. See treatment of carbuncles and boils, 191.
