SNAKE BITES

 

LACHESIS.

A few pellets in half a tumbler of water, or brandy or whisky. A teaspoonful every fifteen minutes at first.

Apply Hypericum externally, as above.

(N.B.-UNLIMITED WHISKY OR BRANDY TILL SHOCK IS PAST. In Snake bite, it fails to intoxicate.)

To antidote also,-

CARBOLIC ACID.

Dusky face. Paleness about mouth and nose Comatose.

OXALIC ACID.

Violent pains in streaks, or spots. Livid, cold and numb. Trembling hands and feet.

AMMON CARB.

Livid, weak, drowsy, aversion to cold.
