Sensorium
Vertigo: when walking in the open air, reeling as if drunk; long-lasting, with great sensitiveness to cold air; momentary, from strong light of the sun. Great weight in the head, it constantly falls backwards.
Inner Head
Dull headache, especially in forehead; must move head to and fro and close the eyes as for sleep.
Dull, drawing headache in morning, extending into root of nose, with nosebleed or thick mucous discharge.
Tearing and pressure in left half of the brain.
Pressing in right side, as if a nail were thrust in, worse sitting quietly; better moving slowly about.
Pain as though sharp ice touched the head or cold needles pierced it.
Violent oppressive pains, chiefly in forehead.
Headaches of those who are subject to chorea, or who readily become delirious in fever or with pain; twitching or grimaces.
Outer Head
Sensation of coldness on right side of frontal bone, though warm to the touch.
Icy coldness in region of coronal suture after scratching.
Twitching of head and cervical muscles, worse on right side.
Drawing or stitching pains in head, shifting from side to side.
Eyes
Feeling of weakness in eyes without having exerted them.
Indistinct sight; focal distance changes while reading; first grows shorter, then longer.
Dim sight; things look obscured, as from turbid water; muscae volitantes; vibrating spectra, with vertigo.
Reads with difficulty, type seems to move. Diplopia.
Flickering before the eyes while writing.
Black spot before left eye.
Pupils dilated.
Viscid yellow humor gluing the lids; gum in canthi.
Burning in canthi; inner angles itch, burn and are red; worse from touch.
Frequent slight twitching in eyelids.
Twitching in eyeballs; while reading, frequent twitching and pressing in left eyeball.
Spasms, with aching in left eyeball. Myopia.
Narrowing of space between eyelids.
Clonic spasms; lids open and close in quick succession.
Swelling of tear gland.
Ears
Redness, burning-itching of the ears, as if they had been frozen.
Nose
Smell sensitive; vinegar unbearable.
Frequent sneezing.
Nosebleed when blowing nose early in the morning.
Profuse fetid discharge from the nose.
Mucous membrane very sensitive.
Frequent dropping of clear water from nose, without coryza.
Face
Puffy, pale, blue under eyes, nose and lips blue.
Redness, with itching burning, as from freezing.
Twitching of facial muscles.
Tearing in face and jaw-bones.
Lower Face
Trembling vibration in lips and muscles of lower jaw; convulsive shaking of lower jaw.
Pricking in the chin, as from needles.
Teeth
Tearing in lower molars, worse from cold air.
Swelling and bleeding of the gums.
Shooting from right lower teeth up to right side of head.
Tongue etc.
Left side of tongue numb.
Tongue : dry; coated white, mornings; sore; smarting; burning tip, as from pepper.
Tremulous propulsion of the tongue; inarticulate speech. Chorea.
Inner Mouth
Smell from mouth; offensive, like that after eating horse- radish.
Throat
Feeling of dryness of fauces and pharynx, causing contraction, as when drinking an astringent.
Great difficulty in swallowing, with ravenous appetite.
Throws up some flocculi or solid lumps of phlegm, almost without cough.
Desires Aversions
Much hunger, but no appetite early in the morning.
Burning thirst. Typhus.
Eating and Drinking
Better for an hour after eating, while he is so exhausted; but great sleepiness remains.
After meat, heartburn.
Nausea and Vomiting
Eructations: taste of rotten eggs or of apples; empty.
Stomach
Cardialgia lasting three hours after a meal; burning changing into a dull pressure, like from a foreign body, with nausea.
Heavy sensation in the stomach.
Hypochondria
Liver enlarged, congested.
Sharp stitches, as from needles, in the region of the liver; dull stitches during breathing.
Stitches under short ribs, left side.
Pulsation deep in the spleen.
Abdomen
Loud rumbling in the bowels.
Stool etc.
Grass green, bilious; thin, yellow, fecal, slimy; pappy, with cutting in the abdomen and much wind; bloody, dysenteric.
Diarrhoea mostly in the morning, after rising and eating, with much rumbling; crampy colic and passing of wind.
Passes much inodorous flatus.
Urine
Urine: profuse, colorless; clear, lemon-colored.
Viscid, glutinous mucus from the urethra. Weakness of sphincter vesicae, with dribbling.
Male Sexual Organs
Great desire for an embrace, the penis being relaxed.
Voluptuous itching of the genitals.
After coitus : great debility; profuse night sweats; burning, itching of the skin; tension and pressure under ribs.
Spermatorrhoea, with pains and weakness in the thighs.
Complaints after sexual debauches.
Female Sexual Organs
Prolapsus uteri after cessation of menses.
Bearing down pain almost intolerable.
Itching and irritation of the parts, with strong desire for an embrace.
Menses too profuse, with tearing, pressive pains in back and abdomen.
Pregnancy
Nipples itch, m burn, look red.
Larynx
Scratching in throat when singing.
Breathing
Oppression and constriction of the larynx; he fears suffocation.
Frequent deep inspiration.
Difficulty in breathing, as if the chest was too full; he must breathe more deeply; also from muscular constriction.
Cough
Violent coughs in isolated attacks, ending in repeated sneezing.
Convulsive, hacking cough, with oppressive sweat.
Sudden convulsive coughs, worse forenoons.
Violent spasmodic cough at night.
Expectoration of small transparent lumps, almost without cough, relieving the lungs.
Lungs
Jerking stitches through right lung.
Oppression of the chest, in the region of the diaphragm, with drawing pains.
Tension in the lower part of the chest during motion and when sitting, taking away his breath.
Heart Pulse
Burning, shooting pains in region of heart, extending to left shoulder-blade; caused by deep inspiration and much worse from coughing, sneezing, hiccough.
Anxious sensation of pressure in heart, oppression on bending body.
Palpitation violent, strongly felt, worse evenings, with redness of face; on sitting down, some irregular strong beats; anxious oppression.
Constant feeling of a lump in the epigastrium, with pain under the sternum; drawing in region of diaphragm, sharp pains in left side.
Pulse : feeble, scarcely perceptible; becomes slower; small, irregular.
Neck and Back
Twitching of the cervical muscles.
Stiffness in the nape of the neck.
Peculiar sensation of weakness and stiffness between shoulders; extends to the neck.
Pain in the back, as after continued stooping.
Muscles feel bruised; on bending forward, feel short.
Spasmodic, pressive, drawing pain starts from back, extends to middle of chest and into oesophagus.
Violent shooting, burning pains, deep in the spine.
Aching along spine and limbs.
Pain in lumbar region and sacrum; a sort of crick in the back; extends along to the nape of the neck.
Sensation of ants creeping along spine.
Spine sensitive to touch; worse mornings.
Every motion, every turn of body, causes pain in spine.
Sudden stitch in sacral region while walking in open air.
Upper Limbs
Violent laming pain in left hand and arm after palpitation commences.
Drawing pain from left upper arm to forearm; drawing in muscles of left forearm and down over the elbow.
Burning, itching pimples on the arms.
Burning itching on both hands, as if frozen; parts hot, swollen, red.
Trembling of the hands.
Right hand unsteady while writing; arm feels paralyzed from much writing.
Stiffness in fingers from gout.
Lower Limbs
Twitching of the gluteal muscles.
Heaviness of the legs; languor.
Pains in legs, especially in region of right hip-joint, like from fatigue.
Violent pains in limbs, especially left hip under gluteal muscles.
Drawing, pressive pains in legs; especially in ankles.
Pains in legs most marked, standing or sitting; better when walking or from motion.
Dull pain along the tibia; drawing pains.
Toes itch and burn; are red and swollen, as if frostbitten.
Cramp in the soles at night.
Limbs in General
Frequent jumping of muscles.
Feels as if her limbs did not belong to her.
After repeated and severe epistaxis, great soreness and bruised feeling of joints of limbs.
Limbs cold, blue.
Position etc.
