Mind
Mental restlessness; when reading cannot dwell long on one subject; must change always to something else.
Anxiety : with flushes of heat; when alone, especially in the evening, also when awaking at night; especially the evenings, as if it would impel him to commit suicide by drowning.

Eyes
Farsighted, weakness of the eyes when looking carefully at small things; quivering before the eyes; dazzling; worse from light, daylight or candlelight.
Like gauze before eyes; when reading, letters run together.
Pupils first contracted, later dilated.
Severe stitches, from within outward, in the eyes.
Ears Difficult hearing, with increased humming before the ears.
Stitches in the ears.
Pain in right internal ear, as if pressed together.
Nose
Nosebleed.
Frequent sneezing, with or without fluent coryza.
Profuse fluent coryza, particularly in the morning.
Face
Face puffed and livid.
Cheeks and eyes sunken.
One (left) side of face cold, the other (right) hot, during morning hours.
Heat of face, with cold hands.
Small pustules, here and there, on the face, with fine, stitching sensation when touched.
Prickling, burning pain in skin of cheek below left eyelid.
Lower Face
Stitching, tearing pain on left inferior maxilla, as in the periosteum.
Lower lip cracked in the middle.
Dryness of the lips and little sense of taste.
Burning in the skin, at right angle of mouth.
Teeth
Cold sensation in the body of an incisor.
Stitching toothache, mornings, after warm drink.

Food seems tasteless.

Mouth

Throat

Contractive tension of pit of stomach as if everything would be drawn inwards, especially during deep inhalation.

Abdomen
Bellyache after sour food.
Stitches in right side of abdomen while sitting.
Dull stitch from right to left across the abdomen almost taking the breath while walking.
Stitch from the left loin into the penis.
Stool etc.
Outward pressing pain, independent of stool Frequent stool, with colic.
Stools: soft fluid; white, slimy and stinking with the watery odorless urine.
With the stool, discharge of bloody mucus; afterwards pains in abdomen and small of back.
After stool, constant inclination to stool.
Urine
Frequent urging to urinate with scanty discharge frequently only by drops.
Frequent profuse urination.
Urine dark and of strong smell.
Male Sexual Organs
Itching stitches in the glans.
Female Sexual Organs
Delay of the first menses.
Menses too late; too scanty.
Blood dark.
Leucorrhoea, with labor-like pain.
Larynx
Voice hoarse, deep, requires exertion to speak husky; hollow, toneless.
Epiglottis in constant motion to and fro.
Constriction of the larynx when talking.
Sensation as from a feather in larynx exciting cough.
Mucus in larynx either hard or soft.
Chest and throat symptoms worse from talking or singing.
The sick involuntarily support the larynx on swallowing or coughing.
Breathing
Oppression, with every word he speaks the throat contracts;not so when walking.
Difficult breathing, worse after midnight.
Sensation as if something in the chest prevented exhalation when talking or coughing.
Cough
Whooping in periodically returning paroxysms in such frequent succussions that he can scarcely get his breath; with ringing sound; evening after lying down; at night; wakes at 2 A.M.; with drawing in of the abdomen.
During cough: efforts to vomit vomiting of water, mucus and food stitches in the muscles of the chest; or, bleeding at nose or mouth.
Cough aggravated; by warmth drinking; tobacco smoke; laughing; weeping; after lying down; after midnight or in the morning.
Expectoration yellow bitter or offensive also bloody or pus- like.
Lungs
Constriction of chest and hypochondria.
Severe stitches in the chest when sneezing or coughing must press on chest with the hands for relief.
Burning sensation in centre of chest.
Violent oppressive, stitching pain across the chest passing off during motion.
Other Chest.
Stitches in muscles of chest, when breathing or coughing.
Neck Back
Neck stiff and painful on motion.
Pain between the scapulae drawing to the small of back.
Stitching tearing from the spine to the anterior spinous process of left ilium, when sitting.
Back pains as if bruised, in the morning.
Upper Limbs
Quivering on right shoulder only when at rest. Inclination of th fingers to contract spasmodically, with rigidity when grasping anything.
Coldness of the hands.
Lower Limbs
Pressing pain in the posterior muscles of thigh, worse from pressure and stooping; could not lie thereon at night, passes off after rising.
Laming pain in right hip joint and thigh, with pain in the ankle as if sprained; when walking must limp.
Occasional single stitches in the middle of left thigh anteriorly Fine cutting stitch in the right calf, coming on when sitting passing off when sitting off when walking.
Tearing pain in right ankle as if sprained, only when walking.
Stiffness of the ankles.
Feet feel chilly covered with a cold sweat.
Limbs in General
Limbs feel as if beaten and are outwardly painful] All the limbs feel lame.
Gnawing and stitching pain in the bones of th limbs, especially severe at the joints severe stitches in the joints; less painful during motion than during rest.
Painful stitching pressure in the muscles of upper and lower limbs, in every position.

Sulphur and veratr. are the most appropriate intercurrents in whooping-cough. Conium follows well in dry cough of phthisis.
Complementary to Nux vom Closely allied to Ipec in affections of the larynx.
