      Magnesium carbonate Hahnemann Mg Co3 3H.O.

Mind

      Uneasiness, with trembling of hands and absence of mind.

Anxious and warm through the whole body, especially in the head, while eating warm food.

Trembling, anguish and fear, as if some accident would happen; all day, relieved after going to bed.

Sad mood with indisposition to talk.

Much worse from talking or mental exertion.

Sensorium

      Vertigo: when kneeling; when standing, as if everything were turning around in the evening.

Inner Head

      Pressure in the forehead.

Pressing headache, from mental exertion and when among many persons.

Violent darting headache after vexation (1 to 10 p.m.) Lancinating headache early in the morning after rising.

Pulsating sensation in the forehead.

Congestion of blood to the head, especially when smoking.

Heat in the head and hands, with redness of the face alternating with paleness.

Outer Head

      Bruised sensation of the vertex.

Pain on the top of the head, as if the hair were pulled Dandruff on scalp, itching during wet and rainy weather.

Falling off of the hair.

Eyes

      Black motes before the eyes.

Lenticular cataract.

Obscuration of the cornea.

Swelling of the eyeball.

Dryness of the eyes; or profuse lachrymation.

Inflammation of the eyes, with redness, burning, stinging and obscuration of sight, or dimsightedness.

Agglutination of lid in morning, with pressure in eyes.

Ears

      Whizzing, fluttering and buzzing in the right ear, with hardness of hearing.

Dulness of hearing.

Inflammation of ears, with external, redness and sensation of great soreness.

Nose

      Bleeding from nose in morning more from right side.

Vesicular eruption in the nose, with pressing pain.

Face

      Face: pale: earthy; alternately red and pale.

Tension of face, as if the white of an egg had dried. on it.

Nightly tearing, digging and boring in the malar bone, insupportable during rest, and driving one from one place to another. Swelling of the malar bone, with pulsating pain.

Lower Face

      Herpetic eruption around the (lower part of the) mouth. Hard, little nodosities in both corners of the mouth.

Teeth

      Beating and stinging in the teeth after eating.

Toothache: While riding in a carriage, worse in the cold at night; compelling on to rise and walk about, the pain in insupportable while at rest; during pregnancy; mostly burning, tearing, drawing, twitching, or great ulcerative pain, with twitching in the fingers and feet.

Teeth feel too long.

Ailments from cutting the wisdom teeth.

Looseness of the teeth, with swelling of the gums.

Slow eruption of the teeth.

Burning vesicles on the gums, on the inside of the cheeks, tongue, lips and palate, they bleed from least contact.

Tongue etc.

      Taste bitter; sour.

Frequent, sudden stammering speech.

Mouth

      Dryness of mouth, especially at night and in the morning.

Bloody saliva.

Throat

      Stinging pain in the throat when talking and swallowing.

Burning in the throat and palate, with dryness and roughness, as if scraped by an awl.

Frequent rising of mucus in the throat (morning), with roughness and dryness of the fauces.

Soft, fetid tubercles, of the color of peas, are hawked up.

Desires Aversions

      Violent thirst for water, especially in the evening and at night.

Desire for: meats; bread; acid drink.

Eating and Drinking

      When eating: After eating; Eating warm food:.

Nausea and Vomiting

      Eructations sour; sour taste and sour vomiting.

Much loathing, without desire to vomit.

Nausea and vertigo while eating, followed by retching an vomiting of a bitter, salt water.

Stomach

      Constrictive pain in the stomach.

Ulcerative pain in stomach, with great sensitiveness to pressure.

Hypochondria

      Hardness and stitches in hepatic region.

Abdomen

      Pressing, spasmodic, contractive, colicky pains; relieved by green stools.

Colic, followed by leucorrhoea. Cutting about navel, better from emitting flatus.

Great heaviness in the bloated abdomen.

Stool etc.

      Stools; grass-green, or like the scum on a frog pond; sour, frothy; or with white, floating lumps, like tallow.

Colic before stool.

Lienteria of sucklings; the milk passes undigested.

Costive: frequent ineffectual urging, with small stools or only flatus; stitches in the anus.

Ascarides and lumbrici.

Urine

      Urine: increased, pale, watery or green; with white sediment.

Involuntary urination while walking or rising from a seat.

Burning-smarting during urination.

Male sexual Organs

      Sexual desire diminished; erections wanting.

Discharge of prostatic fluid when passing flatulence.

Inguinal and scrotal hernia.

Female Sexual Organs

      Menses; late, scanty; stop in the afternoon; flow acrid, dark, pitch-like; preceded by coryza and obstructed nostrils, by labor like pains, cutting in the abdomen, sore throat, weakness, chilliness, backache; profuse and too early, flowing more at night and at first on rising also between uterine pains.

Leucorrhoea acrid, white, mucous, preceded by colic.

Cough

      Cough: Spasmodic at night; from tickling in the larynx; sputum, morning and during the day, yellow, thin or tough mucus, or dark blood, tasting saltish.

Lungs

      Oppression of chest, with sensation of constriction.

Sensation of soreness in chest or in region of heart.

Neck Back

      Stiffness in the neck. Pain in the back and small of back at night, as if broken.

Sudden piercing in the coccyx; a violent pain, as if the spine were bent back.

Upper Limbs

      Pain as from dislocation in the shoulder joints when moving.

Rheumatic pain in shoulders (at night), with tingling down to fingers; pain prevents least movement of arm.

The skin of the hands become chapped.

Spreading blisters on the hands and fingers, with stinging.

Red, inflammatory swelling of the fingers.

Heat of the fingers (in fever).

Lower Limbs

      Restlessness in the legs.

Drawing pains in the legs and feet.

Itching of the buttocks, with red spots after scratching.

Painful swelling in the bend of the knee.

Knees painful in walking, the feet when lying in bed.

Cramp in the calves (at night) Burning spot on the tibia.

Limbs in General

      Rheumatic pains in the limbs.

Awakes about to 2 to 3 A.M. and cannot fall asleep again.

Anxious dreams, with starts and crying out in sleep.

Temperature and Weather

      Inclination for open air. Averse to uncovering, with fever heat.

Chill Fever Sweat

      Chill and chilliness with external coldness in the evening after lying down, slowly going off; followed by heat; chilly in bed as if dashed with cold water.

Heat, one (right) sided; heat mostly forenoon, often with sweat on the head.

Sweat greasy, stains yellow; sour, putrid-smelling.

Sweat, with thirst, after 12 p.m. till morning.

Attacks

      All her symptoms are aggravated every third weak.

Sensations

      Neuralgic pains, shooting like lightning, worse on left side; worse in a draught, from changing of temperature, from touch; must get out of bed and walk the floor.

Skin

      Itching and great dryness of skin; itching lessened by scratching.

Stages and States

      Nervous, irritable temperament. Often indicated with children.

Relationship

      Complementary to Chamom.

Antidoted by Chamom. (neuralgia); Rheum. (abdominal complaints).

It may antidote Acid aceticum in overdoses.

C. Hering
Hering got the degree of M. D. from the University of Wuezburg with highest honours. The theme of his thesis was "De'Medicina Futura" (The medicine of future). Hering left Germany for West Indies and finally arrived at Philadelphia in Jan, 1833. He established a homeopathic school at Allentown, Pennsylvania, commonly known as "Allentown Academy". Soon he became very popular as a physician. He is known as the 'Father of Homeopathy' in America.
