Mind

      Lively, talkative, good-natured.

Sensorium

Inner Head

      Shooting pains in the temples.

Dull headache over the eyes, with pain at the root of nose, Throbbing pain in the forehead or temples.

Eyes

      Generally, excessive photophobia.

Black motes before the eyes; opacities of the vitreous.

Throbbing, aching, nightly pains.

Ears

      Sudden. sharp pains in the ear.

Throbbing, boring, from within outward, deep in left ear.

Nose

      Septum nares sore; sharp pains.

Much mucus descends into the throat, causing hawking; spots in nose feel sore; constant inclination to swallow.

Face

      Dull aching and soreness in bones of the face; also in jaws.

Teeth

      Molar teeth feel too long; worse bringing them together.

Mouth

Desires Aversions

Nausea and Vomiting

Stomach

      Weak, empty feeling at the stomach, nausea.

Bruised, burning pain at the stomach.

Cutting pains, with nausea and inclination to vomit.

Hypochondria

      Stitches in region of liver, better by pressure with hand; pains about liver, right side of chest and back; soreness under right scapula, worse motion and at night.

Abdomen

      Hardness of the abdomen, as from flatulence.

Burning at the umbilicus, as from a hot coal.

Faint, sick feeling in the hypogastrium before stool.

      Cutting, colicky pains, followed by diarrhoea, or discharge of fetid flatus; stools thin, light brown, frothy.

Frequent urging to stool.

Black discharges, with or without blood.

Urine

      Copious, dark red; scanty.

Male Sexual Organs

      Copious seminal emissions, preceded by lewd dreams.

      Yellow leucorrhoea, especially with children.

Lungs

      Neck stiff; soreness in occiput, worse when lying.

Upper Limbs

C. Hering
Hering got the degree of M. D. from the University of Wuezburg with highest honours. The theme of his thesis was "De'Medicina Futura" (The medicine of future). Hering left Germany for West Indies and finally arrived at Philadelphia in Jan, 1833. He established a homeopathic school at Allentown, Pennsylvania, commonly known as "Allentown Academy". Soon he became very popular as a physician. He is known as the 'Father of Homeopathy' in America.
