Mind

      Loquacious mania.

Silly conduct

Inclination to treat others with rudeness and contempt.

Inner Head

      Headache, aggravated by close thinking.

Dulness of the forehead, with headache.

Piercing and single stitches in the head.

Constrictive pressure in forehead and temples; the brain, eyes and skin feel tense and the bones scraped; worse from motion, excitement, or using the eyes.

Outer Head

      Scalp sensitive to touch; sore pain at small spots on the forehead.

Eyes

      Feel too large, or swollen, and the orbits too small.

Eyes feel as if projecting, with a sensation as if a thread was tightly drawn through the eyeball, and backward into the middle of the brain; sight weak.

Feeling of contraction in internal canthi.

Ears

      Sudden pain in the ear, as if forced apart by a wedge.

Nose

      Discharge of red or greenish mucus on blowing the nose.

Stuffed condition and fulness at the root of nose; constant hawking of tenacious, white, tasteless mucus.

Lower Face

      Violent itching, biting and burning on the edges of the lower jaw, frequently with red, small, easily bleeding (miliary) eruption.

Tetters around the mouth.

Vesicles on the surface of the lower lip.

Tongue etc.

      Great dryness of tongue on awaking; tongue feels too large.

Tongue white, with roughness; no thirst; bitter or lessened taste.

Mouth

      Dryness of mouth in morning.

Tart saliva.

Throat

      Burning, stinging and scraping in throat.

Sore throat, as if a ball were lodged in it.

Tense, almost painless swelling on the roof of the mouth.

Scarlatina.

Eating and Drinking

      Hunger very soon after a meal.

After eating, hiccough.

Nausea and Vomiting

      Belching, with pain.

Stomach

      Heaviness in stomach, as from a stone; relieved eructation.

Weak, slow digestion.

Abdomen

      Rumbling and rolling in abdomen.

Urine

      Frequent micturition, with burning.

Dark-red urine, with red sediment and a greasy-looking pellicle on the surface.

Larynx

      Periodical painless hoarseness.

Hoarseness, voice feeble, continuous hawking of mucus, and burning in the larynx.

Breathing

      Oppression of the chest, with desire to draw a long breath.

Cough

      As from vapor of sulphur in the trachea or viscid phlegm in the larynx.

Expectoration of viscid, greenish mucus.

Constant hawking and gagging, on account of viscid, green mucus in the larynx and trachea.

Lungs

      Stitches in the chest.

Heart Pulse

      Palpitation of the heart during rest or motion.

Pulse full but slow.

Neck Back

      Nape of neck weary, as from a heavy load.

Neck feels stiff and swollen on turning it.

Dull pain in nape of neck, increasing at times in acuteness, with numbness, heat and weight; better from rest and in the open air; worse from exertion.

Stitches between the scapulae.

Lower Limbs

      Laming pain in the feet.

Cold feet at night in bed.

C. Hering
Hering got the degree of M. D. from the University of Wuezburg with highest honours. The theme of his thesis was "De'Medicina Futura" (The medicine of future). Hering left Germany for West Indies and finally arrived at Philadelphia in Jan, 1833. He established a homeopathic school at Allentown, Pennsylvania, commonly known as "Allentown Academy". Soon he became very popular as a physician. He is known as the 'Father of Homeopathy' in America.
