      Blue Garden Iris (Rhizome also used to make Oris root). *N.O. Iridaceae. Tincture of fresh rhizome.

Diarrhoea. Dropsy. Freckles.

Characteristics

The fresh root of *Ir-german. *I-flor., and our common yellow iris, *I-pseudo-acorus, have been much used in dropsies and are violently cathartic. The juice is also used for the removal of freckles from the skin.
