   Common names: Tomato, Love-apple.

Introduction

Lycopersicum esculentum, Millefolium

Natural order: Solanacea.

Preparation: Tincture of ripe fruit.

Mind

Peevish about trifles, increased by the weakness of memory. Thoughts disappear, worse when leaning the head upon anything; forgets everything he wishes to recollect.

Head

Heavy confusion of the head. Dulness of the head. Heaviness of the head, with weakness of the cervical muscles (after a quarter of an hour). Sensation as if the head were compressed or squeezed from both sides. Boring; therewith the skin of the forehead becomes painfully tense. Pressure beneath the frontal bone, as if the brain would be forced out, relieved by leaning the head against something, always in the evening and continuing awhile after going to bed. Boring in the left side of the occiput.

Nose

Stopped catarrh in the nose.

Face

Pressure in the right zygoma. A stitch in the left cheek. Stitches in the left zygoma.

Urinary Organs

Must rise at night to urinate.

Sexual Organs

Profuse Leucorrhoeal discharge (immediately). In some cases, what was thought to be too frequent menstruation, brought on by free use of canned tomatoes, and the flow would return whenever this food was eaten for a few meals.

Chest

Slight sticking beneath the left side of the sternum; without difficulty of respiration.

Back

They will cause a depressing backache, in lower dorsal and lumbar region, which will make any one feel gloomy and depressed.

Superior Extremities.

Sticking on the inner side of the left forearm.

Inferior Extremities.

Painful sticking behind the articulation of the left hip. Sticking above the external malleolus of the right foot, during rest and motion.

General symptoms

At night he lies upon the back, on account of a sensation of paralysis.

Sleep

Is unable to fall asleep in the evening, tosses about, every position is uncomfortable. Frequent waking and tossing about at night, the limbs when pressed feel paralyzed. Is wakened by an insignificant dream.

Conditions.

Aggravation.

(Evening), Relieved by leaning head against something, pressure beneath frontal bone. (Leaning head against anything), Disappearance of thought.

Born in 1837in Westminster, Vermont. . He was an orthodox doctor who converted to homeopathy
Dr. Allen compiled the Encyclopedia of Pure Materia Medica over the course of 10 years.
In 1881 Allen published A Critical Revision of the Encyclopedia of Pure Materia Medica.
