Conclusion [Conclusion]

Frequently after an abortion, the afterbirth is delayed beyond the usual time of being discharge (say two or three hours). When such is the case, mechanical means will have to be resorted to, by producing traction upon the cord, and if this is not sufficient, introduce the hand and detach the adherent parts.
