General [General] Sows just after pigging are sometimes attacked with inflammation of the udder, which becomes hot, hard, swollen, and very tender; there is generally loss of appetite, and the animal is very restless; sometimes the whole udder is of a bright red colour, at other times it is only streaked with red. Aconite and Belladonna are the best remedies; give Aconite first, several doses, then give Aconite and Belladonna alternately.
