General [General]
This disease is generally first observed by the animal rubbing and shaking its head, which very soon begins to swell, mostly at first round the eyes, but rapidly extending over the whole head and ears, accompanied with burning heat the animal rubs its head violently, and strikes at it with the hinder feet. If an attempt is made to prevent its rubbing, it becomes furious and dashes wildly about, regardless of anything Aconite and Belladonna are the medicines indicated for this disease. I have cured several cases with these two, and a dose or two of Sulphur.
Dose. Ten drops every hour of Aconite and Belladonna in alternation until relieved.
