      A tincture is made of the fresh plant of Achillea Millefolium, L. (Yarrow). Allies. Erigeron, Arnica, Carbo-veg.

Generalities

      Stretching in forenoon, then comfortable feeling. Haemorrhage. congestion to head, face, lungs, heart, etc. Slow stitches or throbbing pains always near bones nd not far from joints, (<) l. side and (<) hands and feet. Oppression and Uneasiness Aversion to work. Desire to do nothing, without feeling sick. (Amelioration from glass of wine.)

Clinical Haemorrhages, with profuse flow of bright red blood, which is thin; bleeding piles; haemorrhage, with chilliness; bright red haemorrhages form uterus; bright red haemoptysis, with oppression, palpitation, not much cough, especially during the progress of tuberculosis, raised without cough; the haemorrhage is only distinguished from that Aconite by the absence f anxiety. Painful varicose veins during pregnancy.

Mind

      Violent and irritable about everything that happened inopportunely after dinner and in evening, when he wished too rest. Stupefaction, vertigo and intoxication.

Head

      Sticking in brain. Aching all day, (<) occiput;. on stooping; intermittent; paroxysmal, (<) evening; confused, towards noon; confused, towards evening, (<) occiput and extending toward l. shoulder. Dullness after eating. Confusion, (<) evening and after wine and coffee, it seems as if he had forgotten something, he does not know what he is doing or wishes to do. Fulness in afternoon after sound sleep. Beating off arteries, with rapid pulse; B. of arteries in H. and face, with rapid, full and strong pulse. Feeling as if all the blood mounted to it. Rush of blood in evening in bed; on stooping,(>) rising; caused by coffee, with pains here and there in limbs. Vertigo, even to falling to the right and backward, on every slight motion when walking, not on violent motion, with nausea,(<) stooping,(>) lying down.

Tearing in l. frontal eminence. Pain in l. side of forehead. Feeling of a band across F. on drawing up skin of forehead. Sticking in upper part of vertex. Pain in vertex. Sticking in side; in l. parietal bone, with a blow on r. side then S, in same place; tarring S. in whole r. side. Tearing in upper part of r. parietal bone. Pain in r. side as if screwed in. Painful tension in upper part of r. parietal bone. Sticking in side of occiput. Pain in occiput on waking. Drawing in O. after eating. His long hair becomes entangled in spite of cutting it shorter.

Eyes

      Sticking in evening on reading, pressing inward as far root of nose and sides of forehead. Lids agglutinated in morning. Jerking in l. upper lid, with tension. Crawling in l. inner canthus as from a fine feather. Hair of brows falls out. Vision as of a fog at a distance, not near to.

Ears

      Sticking in l.; inward lengthwise in r. Drawing pain in l., with feeling as if liquid were running from it. Crawling in l.,(>) boring in with finger. Itching in r., not r., not entirely (>) boring in with finger. Stopped sensation; after dinner and all the afternoon. Painful nose. Ringing in r. Sound of a bat in l., then when laughing sensation as if cold air passed out of ear.

Nose

      Bleeding.

Face

      Redness without internal heat. Frequent tearing in l. side extending to temples, in evening tearing in l. side extending to temples, in evening. Painful jaw to vertex; T. in r. lower jaw, extending now towards ear, now in to teeth. Pimple on inside of l. lower lip. with pressing and sore pain in evening, next morning a superficial ulcer still covered with white epithelium, slightly painful. Sticking in upper lip.

Mouth

      Toothache; in l. lower molars. Counteractive sensation in forepart of tongue, with burning. Sticking in palate and sensation as if cut to pieces. Dryness.

Throat

      Shooting back and forth anteriorly on r. side of pharynx, extending backward, to wards evening. Pain in l. side on swallowing. soreness every day from 9 till 10 P.M.; S. during and after swallowing. Rawness.

Stomach

      Hunger increased. Thirst. Eructations; empty; empty after eating soup. Hiccough. Cramp extending toward anus, with sensation as if a liquid were in S. Gnawing and griping as from hunger. Pain in morning as from fasting. Pressure as from plug. Fulness. Sensation as if coated with stringent earth. Burning, and in abdomen; B. extending into chest; B. on bending together, worse towards r. hypochondrium, where it became a drawing and burning pain.

Abdomen

      Flatulent distention in afternoon, with frequent emission of flatus. Rumbling and cutting, then two attacks of diarrhoea, with subsequent tenesmus. Offensive flatus;, afternoon and evening. Flatulent pain; P. as if flatus were incarcerated in a stop to left of umbilicus, them movement downward in abdomen without emission of flatus. Sticking in l. hypochondrium; in l. side when eating; in crest of l. ilium. Pinching in l. hypochondrium, them in both sides as far as heat.(>) rising from a seat, with anxiety. Indefinite sensation in l. hypochondrium, then in pit of stomach.

Stool

      Soft; then smarting. The whitish, grayishgreen, soft S. became yellowish brown and was repeated in afternoon, the next two days stool in forenoon in stead of in afternoon, afterward small, soft stools in forenoon in afternoon, afterwards hard stool in morning. Frequent. Omitted two days.

Urinary and Sexual Organs

      Constant desire to urinate, urine copious. Haematuria. Urine dark. Abortion. Leucorrhoea. Menses sometimes too scanty, sometimes too profuse; M. suppressed if used too long for haemorrhoidal flux.

Respiratory Organs

      Secretion of mucus in larynx.

Chest

      Sticking in r.; l.; r., beneath fourth rib; in lowest r. ribs; beneath l. arm, not affecting respiration; jerking, in l. false rib. Bruised sensation. fulness.

Pulse

      Rapid; in evening in bed.

Back

      Frequent drawings. Sticking drawing pain beneath l. scapula when sitting. Sticking between scapula; in middle of l. S.; in l. S. during inspiration when standing. but after stretching and again bending body together sticking and again bending body together sticking in r.; in small of back; in r. lumbar region near spine.

Upper Extremities

      Sticking in i. shoulder; to wards forepart of l., with burning; in upper part of r. upper arms after 9 A.M. Pain in bone of l. arms. Frequent attacks if l. arm would fall asleep; falling asleep of l. arm in forenoon, with prickling. Sticking externally in r. elbow, with burning; S. on inner surface of r. forearm, then itching,(>) scratching. Pain above l. wrist. Sticking on margin of r. hand, above little finger. throbbing pain in metacarpal bones of l. index and thumb in evening. Suppurating pain, as if bruised, beneath r., them l. thumb-nail.

Lower Extremities

      Tearing in l. nates in forenoon, (<) walking, with tension. Pain in r. nates as if he had fallen upon it, in evening and next morning, (<) pressure and making tense the gluteal muscles,(<)insertion of gluteus major into sacrum. Pain above l. knee at 11 P.M. when sitting. Sticking in bend of l. knee. Tearing in r. knee. Sprained pain in tendons of hollow of r. knee. Tearing downward in r. tibia in afternoon when walking. Pain In r. tendoachillis as after a blow or sprain, increasing and de creasing at intervals,(>) walking or ascending steps. Drawing in l. tibia; in legs when lying. Pain in r. external malleolus at 3 P.M.,. evening. Pain in bone of r. foot. Intermittent throbbing pain in l. foot, in joint of last toes and in metatarsus. crawling in forepart of r. foot as from falling asleep. Sensation in l. foot as if it would fall asleep, not(>) by rising. falling asleep of r. when sitting, not(>) by rising after dinner.

Skin

      Constricted sensation in forehead. Raw sensation as from a coarse brush, on inner side of l. forearm. itching on shoulders; on back and itching pimples.

Sleep

      Yawning and stretching; Y. at noon when riding in open air; Y.(<) evening, without fatigue; Y. and sleepiness. Sleepiness and prolonged sleep. Sleepless till 3 A.M. Sleep interrupted and dreamy. Paroxysm when asleep at midnight as if a gust of wind raised him in bed (extending from chest to head, with feeling as if a storm howled through the head and out of r. upper part of head like a flame), there with r. arm seemed paralyzed, then he thought in sleep that he was awake and dreaded another attack, but when it occurred, with redoubled violence and made him cry out, as he supposed, he woke.

Fever

      Heat, (<) face; in face as if blood rushed to head, even in eyes and feeling as if congested with blood. Burning on inner surface of r. little finger, with sensation of flea-bite.
