CALCAREA CARBONICA

General Indications.

      The drug is especially suitable to complicated cases of pulmonary and uterine diseases in women characterized by a scrofulous diathesis with general weakness; to hysterical women during the change of life, especially to spinsters having suffered from profuse menstruation.

Key Symptoms.

      Hands and feet cold and moist, constipation, increased perspiration. Aggravation by cold, wetness, exertion. Better in the morning in the open, dry air.

Special Symptoms.

      Premature, profuse, protracted menstruation with great anxiety and restlessness, followed by faintness. Rush of blood to the head. Discharge of membranous shreds; menstrual flow light-coloured or bright red. Inflammation of the vulva.

Amenorrhoea in young girls of a leuco-phlegmatic temperament with congestion to the head.

Metrorrhagia during the change of life.

Leucorrhoea before or after the menstruation. Milk-like discharge especially in little girls.
