COMMON NAME:

      MARKING NUT.

Symptoms

      Excessive anger at slight offence, breaking out in personal violence (Nux vomica, Sulphur). (R.).

Fixed ideas; that he is double; that there is no reality in anything, all appears like a dream; and that the mind and body are separated (G.).

MALICIOUSNESS (Arsenicum, Belladonna, Cantharis, Cuprum, Hepar, Hyoscyamus, Lachesis, Nux vomica, Stramonium).

Imagines that he hears voices afar off (Hyoscyamus). (D.).

CURSING AND SWEARING (Arsenicum, Belladonna, Cannabis indica, Cantharis, Hyoscyamus, Lycopodium, Acid nitricum, Nux- V., Stramonium).

VACILLATING (Ignatia, Lycopodium, Pulsatilla) (B.).

GREAT DESIRE FOR STOOL, BUT WITH THE EFFORT THE DESIRE PASSES AWAY WITHOUT PASSES AWAY WITHOUT EVACUATION; RECTUM SEEMS POWERLESS, PARALYZED, WITH SENSATION AS IF PLUGGED UP (A.).

Can’t evacuate, even a soft stool (Alumina, Platina, Sepia) (B.).

Haemorrhage during stool. Painful haemorrhoids (Br.).

GASTRIC PAIN, RELIEVED BY EATING (Bromium, Graphites, Kali bichromicum, Medorrhinum, Phos, Sepia, Stann.,) BUT AGAIN WORSE IN 3 HOURS (B.).

Pain around the navel, as if a blunt plug were squeezed into the intestine (N.).

Faint feeling in the stomach, one or two hours after eating, extending to the spine (D.).

Swallows food and drink hastily (A.).

ALL SYMPTOMS ARE RELIEVED BY EATING, BUT THEY RETURN AND CONTINUE UNTIL THE PATIENT EATS AGAIN (D.).

Many symptoms appear after eating, while m, ore of them appear during dinner.

Vertigo, as if turning in a circle, aggravated from stooping (Belladonna, Calcarea, Causticum, Graphites, Lachesis, NUx-V., Pulsatilla, Sulphur) (R.).

Vomiting of ingesta, during pregnancy, ameliorated by eating (R.).

Very faint, on going upstairs (C.).

Male sexual organs: Voluptuous itching; increased desire; seminal emissions, without dreams; prostatic discharge during stool (Br.)(<)

AGGRAVATION:

      When lying on the side; from rubbing; from taking hold of anything; from remaining without food: and from mental occupation.

AMELIORATION:

      From eating.

RELATIONSHIP:

      Similar to : Cantharis, Ran-B., Rhus-R., Rhus toxicodendron, Rhus-V., and Sulph.

Follows well after: Lycopodium, Platina, and Pulsatilla

Adolph Lippe
Adolph Lippe (born near Goerlitz, Prussia, 11 May 1812; died in Philadelphia, 23 January 1888) was a homeopathic physician who worked in the United States. Adolph got a legal education at Berlin. After completing his legal studies, Lippe became interested in homeopathy, and emigrated to the United States in 1837 to further his study. In 1838, he enrolled in the North American Academy of Homeopathy at Allentown, Pennsylvania, from where he graduated in 1841. He settled in Philadelphia, where from 1863 until 1868 he was professor of materia medica in the Homeopathic College of Pennsylvania. Besides some essays and treatises from the French, German, and Italian which became standards, Lippe was the author of:
