COMMON NAME:

      VACCINE (COW-POX LYMPH).

Symptoms

      This remedy is employed as a prophylactic against, and to modify the course of an attack of small pox (Bl.).

Vaccine poison is capable of setting up a morbid state of extreme chronicity, named by Dr. Burnett “Vaccinosis,” the symptoms of which are like those of Hahnemann’s “Sycosis” (Br.).

Irritable, impatient, ill-humoured, and nervous (Chamomilla, Cina, Nux vomica, Phosphorus, Sulphur) (Br.).

Frontal headache; forehead and eyes feel as if split (Bryonia) (Br.).

Inflamed and red lids (Euphr., Graphites, Pulsatilla, Sulphur) (Br.).

Indigestion with great flatulent distension (Carbo vegetabilis, Lycopodium, Natrum sulphuricum) (C.).

Chilliness (Arsenicum, Gelsemium, Pulsatilla, Rhus toxicodendron, Silicea) (Cla.).

Hot and dry skin (Aconite, Bryonia, Sulphur) (Br.).

Inveterate skin eruptions (Graphites, Mercurius, Sulphur) (Cla.).

Adolph Lippe
Adolph Lippe (born near Goerlitz, Prussia, 11 May 1812; died in Philadelphia, 23 January 1888) was a homeopathic physician who worked in the United States. Adolph got a legal education at Berlin. After completing his legal studies, Lippe became interested in homeopathy, and emigrated to the United States in 1837 to further his study. In 1838, he enrolled in the North American Academy of Homeopathy at Allentown, Pennsylvania, from where he graduated in 1841. He settled in Philadelphia, where from 1863 until 1868 he was professor of materia medica in the Homeopathic College of Pennsylvania.
