In this issue we have part 1 of a special presentation of cases from graduates of Prof. Vithoulkas’ International Academy of Classical Homeopathy (IACH). You’ll see the Vithoulkas’ Levels of Health concept being used in practice and how it influences clinical decisions. Levels of Health helps to predict the current state of the vital force and the potential for recovery. It acts as a guide to interpret the patient’s reactions to a remedy and her state of health at any point in the healing process. It also assists in selecting dose and potency. In these cases, you’ll see the very grounded and systematic manner in which they are worked. At all times the principles of classical homeopathy are adhered to, and prove sufficient, even in the most complex situations. The IACH has set a high standard for excellence in classical homeopathy and has been influential worldwide in keeping it alive. The cases presented this month include:
Dr. Seema Mahesh treating infertility in a woman of 26. Fear ofwater falling on her head, of dogs, of people quarrelling and of darkness, led to the simillimum.
Dr. Mariana Tărniceruhandles seizure disorder (panayiotopoulous) and tourette syndrome. Note the selection of rubrics which leads to cures of the seizures and the Tourette’s.
Dr. Cristina Georgescu offers a case of panic attacks and Ménière’sdisease in a woman of 37. Progressive paralysis of lower limbs and suppressed sexual impulses helped reveal the simillimum.
Dr. Santa Liepashares a case of postpartum thyroiditis – struma nodosa thyrotoxica and leukopenia.Heat sensation, palpitation, rapid speech, increased appetite and weight loss pointed toward the simillimum.
