I have been a resident of Berkeley, California since 1971 when I began to attend UC Berkeley as an undergraduate (graduated 1975) and then attended UC Berkeley’s School of Public Health (graduated MPH, 1978). I have also been a long-time friend of Fritjof Capra, PhD, who lives a couple of miles away. In fact, I delivered homeopathic medicines to his home on the day of the birth of his daughter at the request of Dr. Capra. In 1981, I organized a conference at UC Berkeley entitled “Conceptualizng Energy Medicine,” in which Dr. Capra was one of our 12 speakers. At this event, he announced the title of his second book, “The Turning Point,” a book that began to describe his initial thinking on system thinking and health care.
In Dr. Capra’s newest book, “A Systems View of Life,” published by Cambridge University Press, his chapter on health initially had a long section on “energy medicine” and had excellent descriptions of homeopathy and acupuncture as energy medicines. Sadly, this section, like around 33% of his entire manuscript, got edited out of the book. Still, homeopathy plays an important role in Dr. Capra’s understanding of a systems view of life and health. I am therefore confirming everything you wrote in your excellent article!

Today, I read your article on “Ulcerative Colitis and its Homeopathic Approach” which is published in the Homepathy Journal. I am impressed with how you have explained the IBD/Ulcerative Colitis. My daughter recently had a colonoscopy and endoscopy. The diagnosis is that she has active chronic proctosigmoiditis. It is also diagnosed that she has acute and chronic duodenitis with active ulceration. Her problems started this year in July. She had bleeding with normal stool but not diarrhoea and no stomach pain.
