The Vexed Question of Antidotes by Miranda Castro

This is a great article which makes complete sense. Thank you so much for writing it. I found it particularly helpful being a student homeopath. I think that these substances which are supposed to antidote homeopathy are doing something else. They are interfering with the physical body’s ability to heal itself & therefore cause the Vital Force to have to work harder, with various consequences. In the case of strong Essential Oils antidoting homeopathy, perhaps it is just confusing for the body/vital force to have two different types of ‘exciting’ energic substances thrown at it leading to confusion and an imperfect cure. Also, which is working or having an effect – the giving up of coffee etc or the remedy?? Erica Dixon – a year two student.

Elaine,

I truly love the way you write. You are very funny and you keep the reader very interested. You have a great sense of humor and your sarcasm really works.

Just wanted to let you know 🙂

Elaine, ELaine, Elaine,

Your article in H-Pathy with Mati Fuller [“The Staphysagria Surprise!”] was a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!!!!! I loved it and bought the book [Beyond the Veil of Delusions].

The bulletin was good. It can be better if it is focused on some common ailment giving emphasis on seasonal diseases.

Hi Elaine,

I always enjoy your articles. As an aspiring homeopath myself, it’s great to read things written by a homeopath with a sense of humor once in a while! It makes getting through Hahnemann a little easier. 🙂

Laurel

It is great to read your interviews. I need the humour right now! And Miranda is wonderful. I wish I could just read homeopathy all day long.

Rudi Verspoor’s article looks very interesting and a good source of information, I would think, for both people with a lot of homeopathic knowledge and those like me, with less! I will also have a look at his website, thank you for featuring these articles.

Dear Doctor, I’m looking forward to the article series, Homeopathic Terminology by Rudi Verspoor.I’m still quite new in study and I’ve struggled with the turbulence in the terminology, art and science of Homeopathy. I’m keen on reading his ideas. If you check several different Bible translations and in different languages of the scripture Zephaniah chapter 3 verse 9 (or Sephaniah or Zephanja), it speaks of uniting peoples with a pure language or in German, (Luther Bibel) “reine Lippe”. Of course, this is for the purpose of worshiping The Almighty. In relation to this, homeopathy glorifies the Creator and certainly if the homeopathic community desires unity and progress, pure language will be a must. It’s a pleasure to have my subscription. Thank you, to one and all of the contributors.
Best regards,
Ivy Meyer

Rudi Verspoor, Thank you so much for a much needed clarification. These are excellent articles! I like the clarity, precision, concision.

Hi,I think your magazine is great – I read the articles whenever I get a chance and I really think that the content is of a high standard and really helpful. So thank you. However today, I opened the link – The https://hpathy.com/homeopathy-papers/homeopathy-understanding-the-terminology/ Single Remedy and Polypharmacy And the article was good and just below were these advertisement links to: I found it really interesting because the author of the article was arguing just against such treatments. Just a comment for you as the editor of something that did not seem harmonious to me.

The computer has greatly changed homeopathic medicine. From my experience this has been great. The computer replaces 3 or four hours of trying to find the right remedy. I believe we also need to push the idea that Homeopathy is electric energy medicine. Electrolyte energy to find homostasis.

Dear Editor,Thank you so much for sending me an e-mail specifically highlighting the articles of Rudi Vespoor. Mr. Vespoor’s enlightening, regular column is the main reason I look forward to your e-journal every month. I believe his insight into Heilkunstrepresents nothing less than a renaissance in our understanding of Dr. Hahnemann and the full application of his medical paradigm. Finally the Organon, as well as the other writings of Hahnemann, are no longer a labyrinthine mystery, but the methodical, reasoned, and ingenious words of a medical colossus who set forth acohesive and complete system of medicine that truly promises to “make the sick healthy, to cure, as it is called”. Mr. Vespoor’s articles reveal the rational intricacies of this system and help to elucidate the unwavering genius of Dr.Hahnemann’s accomplished thought and deed. Please continue to carry Mr. Vespoor’sregular column as I find his ideas to be stimulatingly bold and a necessary component of any principled discourse on homeopathy .
Sincerely, Neil McKinney

Homeopathy for Everyone – May 2007 Thank you – i do read your articles and appreciate being sent them and keep meaning to respond and say so – am now doing that – good interview – am surprised though that you introduce Sankaran by saying he is criticized for being subjective when in fact his method is all about the opposite of subjectivity which is actually the most useful aspect of it as iyallows one to become so much closer to being the unprejudiced observer as only the patient’s words are used and interpretation and theorizing avoided. every good wish

Hello,Just writing to compliment the nice series explaining the aphorisms by RudiVerspoor. All the writing shows careful attention to detail, and yet what might otherwise make for cumbersome reading, the detail brings the aphorisms to life. Rudi’s examples provide a modern context to Hahnemann’s ideas, and expanding beyonda direct translation of aphorisms, help to explain how classical homeopathic principles are applied in practice. Thanks Rudi!

Surviving the holidays [“Christmas Catastrophes!”]
What an excellent easy to read article. I gave it to my daughter who is not convinced about the value of homeopathy. She tried a few remedies with great success. Think we may have a convert here.

Ann Farrell

—————————————–

I think you are absolutely right that homeopathy practiced these days has lost its classical Hahnemannian’s bearing and has increasingly become personal and in many cases esoterically oriented although you do not use the latter word. I remember the controversy in Homeopathic Link started by Vithoulkas expressing his serious concern
with this degeneration in which I also took part supporting him.

I have only read the article on polypharmacy by Rudd Verspoor but found it very disappointing because he has not addressed the subject of homeopathic polypharmacy that is practiced today by Dr Reckeweg and others. He only talks about allopathic polypharmacy practiced during the time of Dr. Hahnemann. Even some classical homeopaths in India today often use two or three drugs in combination at the same time often in high 200 potencies.

This subject alone needs to be seriously debated. Many years ago, it was debated in the then British Homeopathic Journal although I have forgotten the arguments presented as I have retired from my profession a long time ago.

Thank you for Rudi Verspoor’s series and glossary. Although sometimes a difficult read, the effort is always rewarded. It is human nature to gradually alter a narrative until it is totally ambiguous. Mr. Verspoor preserves the narrative of homeopathy, without which so much would be lost.

Hi there all at Hpathy. Very inspiring article on Miranda Castro. Its good to read true life sometimes. A great way of connecting the continents. I’ve often wondered about her as I’ve accessed some of her articles before.

I haven’t read every article yet, but the ones I did read at the time were great! They even helped me pinpoint 2 remedies I thought would help me and as I was going to my Homeopath the next day, I checked with her and she agreed, so I’ve just finished 2 weeks on Chinium Sulph and will be taking a couple of doses of Nat Sulp 1M in a few weeks, so many thanks for those. Without reading that I wouldn’t have known and got the Nat Sulph. Many thanks, A

Hi The Miranda castro interview really helped me a lot. As a final year student it gave me hints to improve my case taking and the next 2 cases I took to college I had really progressed on, something I hadn’t done for the last 3 months. It really felt like I was cracking it. That interview gave me real inspiration so a big thank you to you and Miranda for that

you are really doing an excellent job for coordinating and acting as an active medium amongst believers of homeopathy. at least i am very much impressed by your efforts in promoting homeopathy education and its positive side. at least, i have blind faith on homeopathy because i have tested, practiced and researched it, and i am a lively proof of homeopathy saying strongly that IT WORKS AND IT IS ABOVE ALL PATHIES.

I think I read Miranda’s report and I was about to be impressed, when she started to talk about President Bush and also the person interviewing her. I thought how can they be so stupid and talking that way about the President and still have any intelligence so I must admit I lost interest immediately.

Dear editors,

I have been reading your e-journal for some time. Obviously I have resonated more or less with certain articles and authors contributions than others. We all have personal preferences. However, I am entirely appreciative of the venture, the dedication and the product. Wonderful!

With reference to your e-mail, I read the articles of Dr. Miranda Castro and her interview with Dr. Elain and I have to appreciate for the knowledge, approach and experience of Dr. Miranda Castro who has understood homeopathy so well and to share his experience she wrote three important books too and she is also planning to launch her software soon. I thank Hpathy to bring us more and more good homeopaths from all over the world to share their experience.

With best regards

Sincerely yours

Loved the Miranda Castro interview – can we have one with Rajan Sankaran?

I love the articles, but I suppose like many people, have such limited time to read through them, and often have to book mark and come back to complete, which may or may not happen….
It would help if not every word of the chit-chat small- talk greetings, etc were reprinted.
I find it a wee bit annoying (sorry), and it might be easier and more inspiring to finish the article the 1st pass. Is it possible just to get to the ‘meat’ of the articles related to our Homeopathy education?
Just offering my own personal feedback since it was asked for.
Thank you!

Tank you for giving me the opportunity of giving my opinion on Mrs Castro interview. I find it very interesting specially the part of whystaphysagria chose Pulsatilla, Carcinosium, Arsenicum ou Natrum-muriaticum for wife or girl friend in relationships. I had notice that with few patients specially when Ihave to help them when they broke up. I thing it would be interesting to know her opinion on how she manage Carcinosinumafter a cancer when it seam to be the similimum. I first read her in september 1997in Homeopathy Today. Please transmit my congratulation to her. Tank you

Dear editor – Your magazine has greatly offended me. I found the Bush bashing at the end of the Castro interview totally out of place & beyond outrageous! I read your articles to learn about Homeopathy – certainly not for political insight. Bashing our president gave Lewis, her daughter & Castro such pleasure that I find their character on the sick side – (as we know, personal attacks speak volumes about the attacker & very little about their target) This was a display of not only mean spiritedness but unbridled arrogance to assume that all readers would agree with them & find their comments funny. I assume this article was approved by the editors so shame on you too! Unless a published retraction & apology are forthcoming I’ll be canceling my subscription. Oh & btw – George Bush’s GPA at Yale was higher than Al Gore’s – who’s stupid now?

I want to thank Rudi Verspoor for elucidating the lesser-understood aspects of Hahnemann’s teachings. Mr. Verspoor reminds us that all the answers we seek can be found in the Organon and in Hahnemann’s other writings. We have to go back to the source which is sometimes difficult to understand.
Thank you, Richard Levey

This is in regard to your request for evaluation. I am a new member but have enjoyed every tidbit of information on your site. The Miranda Castro article was very enlightening but so are many of the others. Ihave spent hours reading the ezines and case histories and will be doing so for many more months to come. I couldn’t be been more pleased that someone referred me to your website. Hope to enjoy many more articles to come and learn a great deal. Many thanks for a great site!
