Letters to the Editor September 2007

Dear Editor, iam very much grateful to you for posting the interviews, articles and the materials pertained to the latest trend of homoeopathy, case studies.its really interesting knowledge sharing, different case studies, etc.perticularly the interview by Dr manish bhatia with Dr rajan shankaran was very good .it cleared many un answered questions which was haunting me for quiet some time. the video class of Dr Vithoulkas also interesting it is nicely presented and clears the doubts of the students such an easy way. infact i regret for delay in replying . i request you to contineously post the articles on homoeopathy, case studies, interviewsetc etc. i thank you once again for the same , i remain with regards, p.omprakash

Sankaran’s interview Dear Editor, What a brilliant read! I found the interview stimulating. The interviewer was challenging and spot on. Sankaran’s answers were as usual clear, succinct and inspiring. No one fires up my enthusiasm more that Sankaran, what an extraordinary and brilliant mind he has. Thankyou for sending it to me, it has renewed mydeclining hunger for the practice of Homeopathy. Regards, Celia Rawlings

Why we fail… dear sir, you have given very valuable advice through your article why we fail—?. it is realy worthy advice not only to new homoeopath but homoeopaths like me also[practcing from last 14 years]. problem of forced priscription happens with us also though I alwayes try to aviod it but diffrent cercomstances forces it.any way it is worthy article.and every homoeopath shoud aviod this . Ravinder Singh

The article of Dr.Payrhuber is very interesting for two reasons. The first, more general, is that he clearly stresses the importance of the mind-body interaction. On this topic there’s much misunderstanding and confusion also in the homeopathic world because several colleagues think there are physical diseases distinguished from psychological ones. The second, more close to homeopathy, grounds in the importance to follow a different path to prescribe from classical repertorization. This late also maintaining its importance in our daily work, very often isn’t expressive of the patient’s picture in the whole depth.Nowadays we must have knowledge of the life themes to help people at the best.On the basis of my experience I can say that the Scholten’s methodology has helped me to solve some difficult cases so I think he’s a great genius. Best wishes V S Bacchi

Dr Praful is a great homeopath of nowadays and this case give us that sense . His way of understanding the essence of the patient and remedy is fantastic. Hope you from H Pathy can bring to us readers more cases from this renomed homeopath! Thank you !I am a student of homeopathy in Brazil and will never forget the essence of Natrum carbonicum! We shall always go for the similimum!

Hello everyone at HPathy, This week the most amazing and valuable information that I found was on Hemorrhoids. For the first time in my entire life I have a large cyst like external hemorrhoid. It appeared overnight only yesterday morning. I searched everywhere to get full information but I must say that there is nothing like the information you have provided here. There is nothing that a person suffering from hemorrhoid(s) would not find in your article. I would like to say it one more time that you are truly helping people by providing such valuable information. I always say that – Helping any living being is helping God. Best wishes, Dinyar M. Dalal PS: I have no idea why or how it happens but everytime I am desperately searching for some information (most of the time to help others) I always get it either via email or regular post within three days. This time I received it in one day. I have not been able to figure this out. if you happen to know please let me know. That is why I wrote ‘amazing’.

Completely agree with Dr.Bathia. Medicine need to regain conscience and good work instead of financial gain. Achievements should not be based on financial success but on patients’ complete recovery. Homeopaths or alternative practitioners should not act like conventional doctors. Suddoo

I am starting a Degree course in homoeopathy in September, after 30 years deep interest in the subject. I found this information helpful and wise. Patience is vital, and I am glad to be reminded of it. Christine

————————————-

the editorial about the problems faced by young homoeopaths was really useful n encouraging.the problems discussed by you are very commonly seen in when homoeopaths start their practice. please try to talk about more such problems in the next issue.. Deepti Goyal

Thank you so much for your article on Warts and your patient cure. It really pleased me and I am sure she is happy too. Have you had any cases of multiple skin tags and seborrheic keratosis? If so, what is your treatment? I really appreciate your help! Best Regards, Marie

Why We Fail, When We Fail Thank you Dr Bhatia for such a well written clear message….I especially acknowledge the patient pressure for speed….which I take as a symptom in itself. I’ll look out for your editorials…with kind regards Trish Bryant RSHom

Thanks for another great edition of hpathy. I do enjoy the read. I have a question that I am hoping someone can help me with. I am travelling to India in November, and was hoping to visit a reputable pharmacy in New Delhi. Could you recommend one or several? I am particularly interested in buying LM potencies. Kindest regards Tanya Robinson

I agree with George Vithoulks in his concern expressing that Homoeopathy is doomed to go to oblivion again. I think the attack is from two sides. One is from the homoeopaths who got a degree but trained and practicing as an Allopath. The other is from the Homeopaths, who with a good intention try take the system forward, but in the process converts homoeopathy to a pseudo science. In the long run the threat will be more from the latter than the former. I would like to congratulate George Vithoulks for his fight against such pseudo scientific trend of homoeopathy however artistic or attractive it may be. Please keep it up George. Jagat Thoudam

Hi Dr. Leela, Thanks for the web site (and lectures on aphorisms). I’ve read several articles and find them very interesting and informative. Helps me to understand more clearly the importance of the whole person … spiritul, physical and emotional… in homeopathic treatment. It just makes so much sense! In appreciation, Dee

Rajan Sankaran Interview it is a new vista in the art of healing and affording a healing is an art and there could be no short cut like becomimg a crorepathy by selling ones own land at the vantage point and becomes so rich overnight. But the blessing of His great Masters and his own father had put him in such a place along with untirng zeal to find the art of healing makes him not”thrice blessed” as our father Hahnemann told but blessed by the god of blessings due to his humility and in explaining the miasms is about sensation is most sensational and any homeopath thriving to offer a cure has to imbibe and as well follow these classification of miasms is like’ mineral etc’ and the selection of” potency device ” is quit amazing and let god give him a very long and purposeful life to make homeopathy from ‘a light in the room’ to a” twlight horizon” and thank you very much for your meaningful interview and god bless you too. Most inspiringly, Dr.K.Srinivasa Raghavan

I must thank you very much for sending me five articles (4 of Dr Rehana Khan) of great value and these articles are very informative and helpful. My comments on those articles will follow separately in due course. Thanking you once again. Very truly yours Dr. Sayeed Ahmad

————————————

I have just gone through the five articles by Dr Rehana Khan; They are well documented, specially the embellishment with the graphics, the photographs and the simple and easy to understand language used has a lot of appeal for all pursuing Homeopathy. It will prove very useful for students and for busy homeopaths as a quick reference chart. I have been following all her articles published earlier and always found them fascinating; Hope she will continue to write such articles in future also. Congratulations to Dr Rehana and to Hpathy for bringing in such articles.Good luck to all concerned. Dr Wequar

————————————-

GV’s article Above article is very true in its fears. Still, it is only the practitioners who try to be different just to increase their commercial worth or those who have an exaggerated idea of their worth who are into this kind of practice. For every one of these, there are hundreds who practice homeopathy with humility, sense of service to humanity and above all a devotion to the basic principles of Homeopathy. Also, by the very individualistic and fantastic nature of thinking, these aberrations cannot influence or damage the position of Homeopathy in the world. sulur

editorial-aug07 You have aptly pointed out the expected frustration of a novice homoeopath in not getting the expected result in curing the patient. The reasons are many. patient pressure, lack of confidence in the effectiveness of homoeopathy, etc. Your tips help in improving the conffidence of a novice. Well done, Hpathy! I am finding your articles interesting and informative. However, do get someone to proof read the articles, please! I have noted a couple of times, the use of “their” (as in, belonging to them) interposed for “there” (as in, another place). (An ex teacher, I can’t help but pick it up and let you know!) In the article on Acne cosmetica: it should read: people may not ATTribute, rather than CONtribute their reactions to cosmetics… Apart from those minor things, I think it is very good work, and congratulate you. Keep up the good work! kind regards Penny Edwards

Hi, I was just reading the interview with Rudi Verspoor and I noticed a few things are not correct. My husband Steven R Decker translated the 6th edition of the Organon and is Rudi Verspoor’s teacher. The comment on the remedies being energy befor matter is not correct. Perhaps the interviewer would like to speak with him directly. I can put them in touch so that he can clarify and correct the erroneous statment. Marla

My friend Dr G.V has beautifully defended the principal of true homeopathy tought by our Masters. the examples he has given reasonably affirms that we can not describe the patient in group as animal, plant, miniral etc. in fact homeopathy is based on the principal of similars and individualisation. The source of remedy may be any. A man eats vegetables, animals, minral and therefore he can develop all the tendency one or sevaral ones mixed at a time. Prescriber should only concetrate on the similum first and other things next thanks dr c s gupta

I do appreciate a lot your e-mails and I read them very often. I have to say to you that by my opinion the Homeopaths are scientists and a homeopathy is a great thing. Unfortunately in Malta , where I live we don’t have them much and I heard about some “homeopaths” experimenting much with people with out any success. Your article on Peptic Ulcer and the explanation of it was great discovery for me. I am a nurse by profession, but I don’t like western medicine. In Malta we don’t have a homeopathic remedies to buy and I miss them. Still we do have one good Doctor Homeopath and few years ago I went to visit him. According to me the homeopathy is a great thing if practiced by a professionals. Thank you so much for all you attention and good luck and good health to all of you. Best Regards Snezana

Manish Bhatia has written some very useful articles this last month. I have sent an email to him thanking him. The classical pathway is clear yet there are so many distractions, other ways of practice and influences, good solid keep it pure advice was just what I needed. More here than I have had time to read thus far but I have always found your articles stimulating…thanks Trish Bryant

—————————————————

Dear Manish, I have just read your account of the case of Eczema that you treated some years ago which you reported in your Editorial and would like to inform you that I would have used a teaspoonful of Arnica 6c in the Wet Dose (2 drops in 500ml water) taken bd. I note that Graphites 30c which you used did not help in the long term and feel that the 6c potency in the wet dose, 1 teaspoonful taken daily may have been more effective. You may like to know that I have had remarkable success in the treatment of Eczema with this same remedy and have achieved a success record of over 90% of the cases that I have treated, some of which were chronic and long standing up to 23 years, and had been treated by doctors, ayurvedic physicians and classical homeopaths all of whom were only able to give temporary relief. As you are aware I do not subscribe to the Classical School of Homeopathy as I have found that my direct approach to healing, aka “Joepathy” which I have defended in your own Hpathy Forum and others, works more effectively in the majority of cases that are not deep seated like CA which I do not treat as I am not qualified to do so. I do however treat standard ailments like Asthma, Arthritis, Eczema and other ailments which affect the majority of patients and as you may be aware I offer my services free of charge. I may mention here that I do use Radar on my MacBook Pro which fortunately has both the Mac and the PC platforms as Radar only works on the PC platform. I have recently treated 5 women who were due for surgery for Chocolate Cysts and Bellis Perennis 30c in the wet dose has averted their surgery and has reduced the Cysts which was verified by a scan. However some patients have informed me that unless they take this remedy daily that they feel some discomfort in about 4 days after they stop it. The problem I have is that although I am aware that Homeopathic remedies may not normally be taken daily some patients cannot stop their daily and I do not see any way out of this problem, as the patient may have to take it for life. This is in a way similar to my discovery that Arnica 30c in the wet dose reduces the dependence on the standard drugs used by Type II Diabetics and is also very effective in use by Type I Diabetics who are able to reduce and in many instances halve the units of Insulin that they use. If you feel inclined to spare a few minutes of your time to advice me on this problem, it will be appreciated. I would like to confirm that I read every issue of your Ezine and I feel that it will be responsible for broad basing the Homeopathic message throughout the world. Kind Regards Joe J. T. De Livera

—————————————-

I must say last issue is great as USUAL . Your editorial is a good eye opener and guide for all the beginers and to all those who might sway to different methods and opinions. What I daresay is everybody has to write his own materia medica in his head AND HOW TRUE AND COMPLETE IT IS TO ALL THE CLASSIC WORKS / TO THE REALITY DECIDES YOUR SUCCESS. Thanks Satish

I am very satisfied from your articles and I hope that you procceed to send me the newest interesting things from homeopathy. Homeopathy is my the biggest love and I am in company with it every day. Thank you again from your efforts, Best regards, Borce Bozinovski

Why we Fail As a student of homeopathy and other Natural Therapies, I often wonder if I will be able to prescribe the correct remedy for a chronically ill patient or even a very ill child. Knowing that failure is experienced by all homoeopaths and that those failures only lead us to learn more and try harder, with a little more faith makes the future of a homoeopathic practise seem a little less daunting. Thx for the motivation to keep improving our skills. Regards Nicole

———————————————

The Psychosomatic Dimension… I enjoy that way the article show how a case is worked out. It gives you a good overview on how long it can sometimes take to try reach a “cure” and how much thought, patience and care is taken to choose a remedy it is not overnight! Thx for a new insight. Nicole

Is Hahnemannian Homeopathy doomed to go into oblivion again This article was very informative and also a litlte scary. To think that some homeopaths are giving out remedies in such a haphazard way makes me leary to say the least. I would like to thank you and your staff for the time and enormous effort you clearly put into making Homeopathy for Everyone such an assets towards Homeopathic wisdom for our community of practitioners. The breath and width of topics covered along with the variance of different Homeopathic approaches shows how delightfully open minded and unbiased your handling of this material is – something which is rare amongst our fraternity. Dear Dr Manish Bhatia I read with interest your editorial on failures and successes in Homoeopathic practice. I have practiced Homeopathy for 16 years . I really struggled in my early years as I was always trying to find the small remedy. I was following Sankarans teaching at the time and remember him saying in a seminar that we use the polychrests far too much and should look for the small remedy . I tried to do this for about 2 years in my practice and became quite ill tryiny to do so. When I finally realised that many patients I had seen were simply cases of Pulsatilla or Nux vomica , my practice began to flourish and my health improved , a simple polychrest remedy was what I needed along with a change of direction. I do not beat myself up if I prescribe wrongly at first but as you say , I try and find out what is it about the case I didn’t quite understand , maybe I have a one sided case where the simillium is not clear , a close remedy can only be found at this point , Hahnemann talks about this in the Organon aph 172 to 184 .It is important not to let your ego run away with you , sychotic patients will over enthuse about you when they have either received the simillium or a close remedy , syphilitic patients will under state their recovery. I very much enjoy your journal and have recommended it to all my students , Monica Robinson

you ask for feedback: Peter Chappell’s contribution about bird flu gives very sound and good information concerning the pathology etc. We are going to publish Perko’s influenza book in German, and so I am quite a bit into the subject. Peter’s statements are to the point. Whether his PC downloads are effective or not I don’t know. They seem strange, to say the least, especially when you hear his jazz clip. But who knows. I tried leukemia PC globuli in a reliable leukemia patient (CLL, chronic version), and it had no effect on her. I heard same opinion on Parkinson with a seasoned colleague, ineffective. My CLL patient fulfilled the typical indications given in Peter’s book. So I’m sceptical. But his article is sound. I find it better than Lucy De Pieri’s contribution. Greetings, Ulrich

Dear Manish, just wanted to thank you for the wise words in your editorial ‘ A note to students’. it is all too easy to be swayed this way and that by all the new ideas and theories but for me it is so importnat to get the basic grounding right first, and your thoughts helped me feel I was on the right track. Regarding the debate on homeoprophylaxis I am attaching some pages on the subject scanned ( sorry, my scanning skills aren’t very good )from a bound copy of the journal Homoeopathy, edited by Margaret Tyler and published in Feb 1932 under the heading ‘Immunization ‘ . Susan Terry PS I may have to send attached files in stages as it doesn’t seem to want to send them all together

Hi,I am a beginner in Homeopathy so I was very interested in the article Why We Fail,When We Fail.I read it with all my attention and I found some answers for me.I think this kind of articles are very useful, because there are not so much information about how to begin, how to continue, how to decide what is the most important things when we are listening to a patient etc.Of course I understand that the best answers we will found in our practice, but it is good to have some other opinions. It is good to have good Teachers online too.Thank you! Dorian

It is a pleasure to receive your mails, and to read your articles from other health professionals, since in Portugal Classical Homeopathy is an art reserved to very, very few people. For as much as some self-intitulated homeopaths say they know very much about homeopathy, they don’t do more than recomend some homeopathic complexes in Dilutions or low potencies. It is unbelievely hard to find material concerning practical classical homeopathy. And this is why your e-mais come as a good draft of fresh air sometimes, even when there are articles with opinions and theories that we don’t empathise with. It is always positive to wonder and question, and to keep in touch with the rest of the world. You are doing a great job so far, So, thank you very much! Lia G

Hpathy is an excellent mean to get information on homeopathy and to share our opinions and results, too. Congratulations. One of the artyicles that I have appreciate very much is “Is Hahnemannian Homeopathy doomed to go into oblivion again?” by George Vithoulkas. The section Philosophy with the Lectures on Organon of Medicine and the clinic cases helped a lot too. Thank you very much! Antonio Vicente da Silva Dias

Dear Editor, Homeopathy is the safest and the most beneficial of all types of treatments in the world. Any type of disease from a simple fever to complicated cancers may be cured, only if the patient is sensitive to the cause and is confident with a lot of faith in the medicne that he is taking with dedication. Therefore I do not agree to this discussion that homeopathy may be a dying cult. Any good progress has ups and downs, and nothing which has come into fame has ever gone forever. It may lie cache for sometime due to new found additions in the medical world, because of the fast world today In every field fast products have emerged, with the fast advertisements people are gullible to be trapped in wrong methodologies of lifestyles, because of lack of confidence in themselves. To be honest, it is not the common man’s fault when he goes for ayurvedic/allopathic treatments, because homeopathy has hardly advertised properly or effectively. Over the years I have personally felt that i have not received a very remarkable response from the homeopath dispensers. If one medicine is not available, they have not suggested the name of another replica. When they mix a medicine, they have not prepared it properly. If it is a complicated disease, they suggest please go to a proper famous Allopath and treat yourself, when the disease is in control, you may opt for homeopathic medicines to control from furthur recurrences. In any home, when there is a heart attack case, he is ushered to an allopathic hospital without batting an eye, nobody knows which potion should be give in a homeopathic dose to prevent the attack or as a post medicine after the attack, unless the person was before hand taking particular medicines. Homeopathy is mostly an option of the person who wishes to indulge in the treatment by his own choice, which if not treated effectively may change to allopathy as he feels he does not have time to lose in ailment. Homeopathy may become less popular because of these factors, we all know about this. It pleases me immensely that Dr Peter Chappel has found a break through to cure AIDS, Homeopathically, and with time I am sure he will share it with the world. Right now he is correct about going about it secretively, as he himself has to see more satisfying results, when he becomes prominently famous, the patients will have hope in his method of cure, thus homeopathy will be the 1st choice of treatment, for AIDS. Also we have always heard of plants growing happily and flowering well in an atmosphere of music, I have tried it myself, with good results, as the music which flowed from an open window , had healthier plants than in the side which did not get music. Cows have given more milk in the presence of music, soft music. So I am not surprised by this method of particular pattern of souonds to cure diseases like birdflu or any other ones after discerning the missing decibels from the patients. I always thought about this, and Dr. Chappel has interpreted it. Dr. Manish Bhatia’s article, ‘Why we fail when we fail’ has been very helpful to many of us. It may be also helpful to the homepath dispensers and practictioners in India. All the other articles are also good. Your’s Truly, Chandra Sanyal

I throughly gone through your e-Journal on homeopathy and found very useful to me.I perticularly like the presentation by different authors and interviews etc.I would urge you to continue this very helpful articles. With warm regards Pradip Kumar Bhubaneswar

I found the interview with Peter Chappell very interesting. Delivery of healing through Sound. I’d come across a discussion of related concepts before (changing DNA through sound) on earlier versions of the current Fosar-Bludorf site. Inter-related also maybe to the frequencies at which the Earth itself resonates. Tim McCaw

one of the problem a patient faces, is finding a good doctor in a city.to know about the doctor’s credentials, we need to read about his method of cure from his earlier cases. could you work on this and provide the address with details of his cured cases. regards anup_shah

Hallo, Haven’t had time yet to read it all, but I found George V. statements important and I agree with his point of view. But I have a question to you. Before you had an article about prof. Karen Niebers research where she proved the effects of homeopathy, but it has disappeared from your web site. I would very much like to get information about the award she had won. What was the name of the award? I will talk about homeopathy at the swedish veterinary university soon, and would like to present the study there. Many regards Chris Jorgenfelt

thank you for all that you are doing for homeopathy and for the suffering . your paper on overian cyst is really worthy of appreciation. apart from reporting succesful case, you have honestly reported your error ,how you reevluated your case and corrected your mistake and treated on the basis of her constitution and produced the result. this honesty and desire to accept error, willingness and ability to get corrected is worthy of emulation. you and your work is really inspiring one, infusing confidence in classical homeopathy. congratulations and thanks. in homeopthy, anand kittur

The article by George Vithoulkas on whether Hanhemanian Homeopathy is on the verge of distortion makes excellent reading; the analysis is bang on target. I cannot but agree with him on the fact that the recent fanciful parallels drawn between human characteristics and animals/minerals/nosodes etc are interpolations of known data on these various areas; it would be taking one away from the actual state of affairs when meandering in these imaginative parallels. Evolution has taken man far above the inanimate & the animate world ; so why seek answers there when the patient himself is ready for study through his symptoms? Prem Rajan

Aphorism 6 DEAR DR BHATIA, I FULLY AGREE WITH YOUR THOUGHTS. BUT IT IS NATURAL THAT A PRESCRIBER WHEN OFTEN FINDS DURING THE COURSE OF PRACTICE THAT A PARTICULAR SYMPYOM IN MOST OF THE PATIENTS IS CUREED BY A PARTCULAR MEDICINE ,WHY SHOULD HE CHANGE OR TRY OTHER MEDICINES. YOU HAVE IN M.MEDICA FOR ONE SYMPTOM THERE ARE LOT OF RUBRICS. ONLY WHEN WE FIND THAT THE MEDICINE YOU HAVE SELECTED IN MOST OF SUCH CASES IS NOT DOING GOOD WORK, WE SHOULD TAKE MORE DETALS ABOUT THE SYMPTOMS, PARTICULARLY WHEN THEY ARE DIFFERENT FROM THE ALREADY SELECTED ONE AND ARE GIVEN IN SOME OTHER RUBRIC. GENERALLY ONE DOSE GIVE US IDEA VERY OFTEN WHETHER OR NOT WE ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK I HAD SENT YOU A FEW TIPS FOR QUICK PRESCRIPTION FOR CERTAIN DISEASES AND COULD GIVE MORE BY AND BY IF YOU HAD APPROVED BUT RECEIVED NO REPLY FROM YOU. I ALSO BELIEVE TO FIND OUT THE CAUSE OF THE DISEASE IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT. IF THE CAUSE IS NOT REMOVED WHICH IS MOSTLY IN THE HAND OF A PATIENT THE RMEDY WILL CURE FOR SOME TIME AND AFTER THAT AGAIN IF HE IS EXPOSED TO SAME TYPE OF LIFE . IN THAT CASE THE PREVIOPS MEDICINE WHICH HAS BROUGHT CURE WILL NOT WORK THE SECOND TIME. THEREFORE TO REMOVE A CAUSE IS A VERY IMPORTANT PART OF CURE MY TYPE IS NOT GOOD SO THE MISTAKES MAY PL EXCUSED THANKS DR C S GUPTA

I was very relieved to see this article by George Vithoulkas as some of the articles I have read on this site appeared to be nothing like my understanding of Homeopathy. We must remain openminded, but this does not mean a blanket acceptance of every weird idea put forward. Christine Parker-Cale

I totally agree with Isaac Golden in regards to his HP idea that we are not only trying to prevent an infectious disease but more so clearing an individual’s energy body of a possible outbreak of such a disease in the physical body by giving the appropriate nosode. As Hahnemann believed the main cause of a disease lies in the emotional/mental sphere which I think we could also classify as an ‘energetic’ sphere it makes only sense trying to clear or eliminate the cause in its roots and therefore prevent a physical manifestation in the physical body. Gv article This article was very informative and also a litlte scary. To think that some homeopaths are giving out remedies in such a haphazard way makes me leary to say the least. As a patient of a homeopathic MD, I’m hoping my doctor is more ethical and inteligent than some of the people Vithoulkas wrote abo

Dear Dr Bhatia, Thank you for your article. It gives me direction and encouragement. I’m young in homeopathy and trying to read as much as I can. I recently tried to take my own case without much success, only reading some materia medicas, and thinking this one is me. Trying several with no help even though they seemed so much me, I decided maybe this repertorizing is important. Following Dr Bidwell’s methods, I came up with Phos Ac, and one day now on 30c, I see some very good results. I enjoyed Marsden’s article on warts and tried to repertorize her case using the same techniques, and am so pleased. It gives me a good feeling and that I just love homeopathy. Results: 1) mood-sympathetic 2) fears-dark, ghosts 3)speech slow, thoughtful, answering 4) generalities-scrofulosis 5) warts 6) agravation-cold And that took me to Casusticum. Gratefully, Gerald Field — Gerald Field

Your article “why we fail” strikes home. Most of my patients are low charge or no charge as a ministry to the church. I have found that when patients do not pay anything they will not follow your recommendations leading me to think that I have failed. I asked one patient to bring back the remedy in the bottle, that I needed to check something on the date. She brought it back, and only 4 remedies had been taken in three days. Also, I find myself wanting a cure so quickly that I do not have the patience to see if my original prescription has worked. I SLOWED Down, as per your article. Thanks for the article Dr. Wyatt Gordon

Your publication is tremendous, useful and in every respect to be admired. I always look forward to it. Homeopathy is used in every country in the world by millions and millions of people every single day, and is used for animals too, and other creatures, fish and birds. I practice and am quite busy, and watch numerous creatures cured with the miracle of homeopathy. Every day the use of homeopathy grows around the world, as people reach a higher level of education, and it has been around and growing for 200 years. To listen to closed-minded asses and so-called “scientific” idiots saying there is no proof it works, is like saying love does not exist, or America does not exist. Let us all put the closed-minded and vitriolic people behind us and simply go forward on our healing and curing quest. Millions and millions of people using homeopathy, and all my own cures, are much more than enough proof for me. I am a psychologist and sport psychologist/homeopath, and have found homeopathy no less than magical in treating disorders of the emotions and mind, as well as the physical side. Thank you for the good work. Please keep it up. Dr Rupert Juta

The write up about Why we fail when we fail was exellent. It high lights the stages of pratice every Homoeopath goes through.Unless every Homoeopath realises the great responsibility he/she has towards the system of medicine there will be nogreat improvement in the exsisting environment of Homoeopathy. The Aug.issue as ever is informative and lively. The editorial gives a very candid and practical advice to practitioners, which if followed can help in the growth and success of learners. In the Interview,Dr.P.Chappell takes the reader on his journey of great struggle and research in the hostile land of Africa. The PC remedies for aids and epidemics are a daring and challenging achievment in the field of modern homeopathic medicine. The acoustic remedies,if successful as claimed, opens a ‘brave new world’ in the art of healing.Homoeoprophylaxis Revisited is intersting and temptig as it is a revives the debate between two International giants of homeopathy.Issac Golden is lucid and convincing in his arguments and deserves an adequate response from G.V. The article ‘Is Hahnemann’Homeopathy doomed?’by G.V. is a timely warning against mis-adventurism in homeopathy. But this should also not make us vary of new ideas and experiments. All unworkable theories die their own death with time.It is gold only that glitters on beating and heating.’Masala Homeopathy’,even though with a mis-leading caption,is a great tribute to Indian Homeopathy. Thanks for providing such varied and rich material on homeopathy. i totally agree with you.even sometime,or mostly, ptts start telling us,esp.those with partial knowledge—even sometime when you’re not practising, and you feel, some of your friends should get certain medicine, then you tell them, tell your homeopath,to give you the particular medicine,—sometime they’re given—sometime they been told that they need a different medicine—at that time ,i feel,or i get the impression that either the ego part is hurt or the dr.wants to show that he knows better than you or might be that he wants to share his expereince with you.i think this problem also we should solve. npg
